Has it ever been established this baby is white? The baby could be mixed race and just be very light. I don't think this baby is white.

That's an old picture. I believe that child is half black and she's much darker now.

Mariska Hargitay has a big surprise to share.
The Law & Order: SVU star and her husband, actor Peter Hermann, have adopted a baby girl, she tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Baby Amaya Josephine was born about a week ago and is from the United States.
"I'm deliriously happy," Hargitay, 47, tells PEOPLE. "From the minute she was born, she was just surprisingly alert and so full of love."

"We were considering both international and domestic adoption and we're thrilled that this is the way our prayers were answered," she adds. "We talked a lot about mixed-race adoptions, and we are very excited that we are now a multi-racial family. We're just so happy she's here."
And there's one family member who's more excited than anyone: Hargitay's 4½-year-old son, August.
"He is over the moon," says the actress. "He calls her his baby because he says the whole thing was his idea. He always talks about how he's going to protect her. He's going to be a great big brother."
The commentary to me is we can't take care of our own. Why can't Oprah and so many other wealthy black celebrities do this, why do we have white people saving black people?

Why does it have to be a celebrity ? Have you adopted any kids ?
Do you do anything to save our children? You a volunteer big brother. Do you tutor school kids? Do you mentor? Do you coach?
What is funny to me is the amount of people who don't do shit then find fault with those who do.
I am sure if you were one of those children you don't care who comes to your rescue as long as somebody comes.

Very good points.Black folks in general look for OTHERS to do shit and complain instead of getting off our asses and doing shit ourselves.I've been a big brother and volunteer most of my life and its pulling teeth trying to get able bodied bruthas to do the same.
