Dirk still plays at a high enough level, Carlisle still coaches vets at a high level, and the front office is still able to find the correct supporting cast at a high level
If Parsons and Dirk opt out they really have room to add KD and Conley actually but hey it's all a pipe dream dudes about to go somewhere else and not win chips and the Mavs about to overpay some more C+ guys and be a lower playoff seed yet again
