Analysts predict that earnings wil continue to grow an annualized 40% over the next 5 years. Current Price is at $466. Can you still make money by purchasing this stock right now?

Purchase a leap if you believe it will. If you have that much money to buy google to make a decent profit from it then you have enough you can loose on a leap and still sleep will if it tanks. On the other hand if you are right then your leap will be worth tons of money and still cost you less than if you had bought the stock directly.

The answer to your question is yes. You can still make money on it. Even $10 on Tues when it opens. If you buy 10 shares and it moves $10 then you make $100.

For that much money I feel there are lots of other stocks out there I can buy and sleep better at night. I can diversify my portfolio more.

as with any stocks is a risk....could go up or could go down......

but if the so call expert projecting a 40% return.. that is $186.40 ROI for every $466 share you purchase....... so that is pretty good for a five year projection... a risk but google is hot ......but i think some company may try to scoop it up (think eBay but that is purely speculation on my part)

so if ya bought 10 share of google at $466 a share= $4660 (not counting the broker's commission fee..usually best to buy direct from company if you know how) Based on a 40% return in 5 years, those 10 shares would NET you $1864 in profit...compare that to a saving account with 2% interest rate.....

You are probably right...I was reading in Kiplinger's that IAC/InterActive is probably a good buy right now due to their recent acquisition of Ask Jeeves. I believe that their price is currently around $29.32.

Think about Yahoo. They are about to drop a search engine that's supposed to sweep Google under the rug this year. Its going to link a lot more things to the subject you type in. Supposedly it'll connect things on a whole new level. I guess we'll see. This was on the news in Seattle about 2 weeks ago.

you probably could make money, but for myself it would be worth it. Let's say you buy 10 shares at 450.00. that would cost you 4500 plus commision. if it moves up 1 dollar you make 10.00. I would rather find a stock at 10.00 or under. lets say 10.00 for math purposes. I could buy 450 shares. If it moves up 1.00 I make 450.00. I never thought GOOg was for the socalled little people ie us in the first place. its ipo was 85.00 most people that i know couldn't have gotten more then 10.00 shares. If you can't buy a lot of shares you have to hold it longer to make a decent profit and if you dont use charts you are so far behind everybody else that they are really just taking you money.

Yes sir its worth buying. It dropped down to 399 on friday but its back up again to 427 today. Most analysts price the stock between 500 and 600. Remember to sell that shit once you hit the price target.

Come on now, you cats are talking about a stock that's priced at 500 friggin bucks per share!!! Unless you're a multi-millionaire, the answer is NO, IT'S NOT WORTH IT. Google is for rich folks. You gotta be strapped with dough to benefit from it.

Ok, you can still make money by flipping Google stock, but you can make A LOT more by flipping cell phones on eBay. Which one would you choose?

I disagree. Google is a good company. Its got a solid balance sheet and income statement. They have been able to increase their assets with a minimal increase in liabilities. They currently have 5.5 billion in cash and only 657 million in liabilities. At their current growth rate its realistic to see the stock being woth 500. I bought some at 280 a while back and again today at 413 after the massive sell off. I plan to sell some WHEN it gets to $500. Its only a matter of time.

You might be right, but not worth the risk for me @ this price to hold, day trade sure....http://warriortrader1.tripod.com/

Buy Low. Sell High.

Google is overpriced at $50 if you ask me.

If you must buy stocks, go look for undervalued companies and invest in those. If not, go get some mutual funds which have had a historic ROR of over 12% over the last decade or two, then you'll get more bang for the buck

Google is going to fall first thing tomorrow, then there will be a dead cat bounce... By end of 06 G will be on par with Y...
