Is Cam Newton an MVP candidate?

Media is including Andy Dalton in the early MVP talk .

Dalton has hella weapons. The Bengals backup RB would likely start for half the league. He has one of the best WRs in the league, etc.

Cam has starting players at the skilled positions that would be practice squad players for other organizations yet they're undefeated.

Exactly! MVP MVP MVP

Yes but he won't get it. I think JJ Watt should have been the MVP last year but when I think of MVP I think "If this single player wasn't on the team they would be out of the playoffs or picking at the top of the draft."

That's why I think he's a legit candidate. Bengals have the weapons to win with even an average QB. You put an average QB on the Panthers and they might be 0-5 right now. He has Olsen and that's it.

At this point, why not... I know if he had a few bad games in a row, they'd be doing everything to kill him in the media..

Yes, he is doing this with what seems to ver a young offense at the skill positions.

It's amazing how he is able to get up after some of the shots he takes.

Yup, but it's going to take a lot for him to get it.

Yeah I think it will to. Brady seems to be the favorite. For Cam to get it his squad gonna have to have the best record in the league though it should be taken in account that out of all the elite quarterbacks he probably plays with the least talent.

Easily the least offesive talent

didn't cam workout with tom brady?

I think even brady said that cam's skill set was highly developed...that he could make ALL the nfl level throws.

after watching him in college, after that statement from brady, and after watching his rookie yr, I think the only person that will stop cam...is cam.

Too early? Stop it. :hmm: How come it's not "too early" to talk about it with the other QBs, but it's "too early" to discuss it about Cam? He is an MVP candidate. Nobody's saying he should win it now, but a candidate? Hell yeah!

People have also said it's too early to tell with Dalton. The 'experts' are just waiting for Cincy and Carolina to fall to pieces. When Cincy beat Seattle, it was :hmm: "Seattle ain't good this year," and I expect Cam to get the same shit.

Meanwhile, who really thinks the Packers and Patriots are going to go to shit?
