You know the Heisman don't mean shit, Troy Smith won it and people were saying if the Ravens gave him a chance he could be a black Drew Brees, The Ravens still drafted Joe Flacco, with their first pic and he went to a D-1AA (FCS) school. Smith went to Ohio State.

right now smith is......but if someone drafts this kid in the top 5, he could be the biggest bust of all time.....he is similar to smith, but can run and he is bigger.

reggie bush sucks too

nah im a niners fan smith anit know bust yet!!! he's been in a diffrent system all 4 of his years. learning a new offense every year aint no joke. niggas wish they can get lucky like peyton manning and be in the same offense your whole career.

As far as upfront money and total paid Alex Smith has got to be the biggest. The 49'ers problem that year was they needed so many things and they said, "Let's start with a quarterback. He wasn't a franchise QB when they drafted him. I don't believe there was a franchise QB in that draft (I gotta check my records to find out though). They could have started elsewhere, but didn't. The same could be said about my Browns and Tim Couch. They could have started elsewhere, but didn't. Leaf was from a time where the top picks didn't make as much as the top picks of today. That is the only reason he isn't on my list as the top bust.

they drafted him...with no help....and the few they had were traded or never picked up after their contract ended....on a wack team....

I hate starting rookie QB's...nothing good usually comes from this....:smh:

except the blame game...

he needs to be on the sideline learning the fundamentals with a clip board and headset....

throw him out to the wolves...DAVID CARR anyone....:smh:

Alex Smith had to learn 4 offenses in 4 years. Anybody would have trouble. I challenge anybody to name 3 elite qbs that had to learn 2 different offenses in his first 4 years?

this dude has to be on the top five list

He is top five but damn this dude was getting sacked like a muthafucka...put him behind a decent line and I think he would have been ok...it's too late now his confidence is gone but he will collect paychecks holding a clipboard for at least 5 more years...

Smith is on the fence. He isn't a bust yet in my eyes because they changed systems so many damn times, but he is because he should be able to handle that and step up and be the man. Most of it isn't his fault though because the 49er's don't have no one on their team that can make Smith look good. Davis was suppose to be a faster Gates and has been a bust so far. Gore is their offensive MVP.

:yes::yes: dude had no line in houston....i dont care who you are, if you dont have a o-line you aint gonna go far....

Davis IS faster than Gates...too bad that isn't all it takes to be a great football player...

what about their TE bust VERNON DAVIS.....dude has been injured for how long and hasn't produce shit....he had such a good COMBINE he got selected much faster than projected...:smh:

I had his ass on my fantasy team...

He's faster but he has two flaws. He can not stay healthy and he disappears on the field. This man was suppose to be a new freak of nature and hasn't done shit. I can't blame Smith not being a good QB.
