Ironheart lands its lead writer. I'm ready to see this one.

Only thing I'm checking is your assertion that a racist pos is a decent dude. Like what you like, but post it on the internet and you just might get challenged. Thems the rules like it or not.

Maybe you got the dude wrong? Perhaps? Maybe?

Who's fault is that? Disney decided to put this show on Disney plus. They could have made a gritty story, and have it on FX.
...it's YOUR fault!!!!! You the only one comparing The Penguin to Ironheart!!!! So a show primarily made for tweens/teens should be a gritty story and put on FX...there's a reason Disney is a billion dollar company and we're sitting here on BGOL!!!!

How is it you got grown ass men (with NO KIDS) complaining about shows that aren't marketed or made for them!!! Do y'all go to restaurants and complain about someone else's food?!

MAAAN, FCUK THAT BARBIE MOVIE!!!!! All that pink in that movie. WAY too much singing for me! Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling just does NOTHING for me! No chemistry whatsoever!!! They might as well paired a pineapple and a roast beef sandwich and got the same chemistry. The story was SUPER childish as well. Hated it.

1. I only made the comparison because its proof that you can write a compelling story with a character that's often overlook in the Batman rogue's gallery. The whole "rated r to rated pg13" argument is YOUR argument. I would argue that season 3 of Stranger things is was written better than this show. I hated Season 3 of Stranger Things btw.

2. I have a whole family homie. I watch things before I let my kids watch them if its comic related. Its a way of us bonding over things I loved in my childhood. You know Dad shit.

3. I didn't say shit about the Barbie movie.... You are spazzing homie.

Man, you talk about that Barbie movie, I walked out of that shit in the first fucking 15 minutes. That shit was super fucking trash Just unnecessary useless pointless singing. The shit that the public pines over and the shit that is worth pining over is like night and day.

End of the day, iron heart is good for what it is, a teen-ish show even though old girl is 3 years from 30

About to check out the last 3 eps but I'll say I think that they should've left her origin story alone. The additions to make the story more gritty and urban definitely paints her in a different light than RiRi is portrayed in the comics. I think the original story probably would've resonated more since it's more tech/sci-fi driven and it painted her as a clear successor to iron man as she was under his mentorship for the most part. There wasn't this gritty street level/crime drama, it was more her using her genius and dealing with tech/suit level villains.

People forget that these stories need to be set up.... I enjoyed Ironheart. If Marvel didn't fold on the money the story would have been told better but RiRi will be back in the Avengers.

Idk man
I can't see myself portraying a racist for clicks
Its called grifting. Hes been exposed by another youtuber guys like him dont even know the source material of the shot they complain about. Somebody posted the video of the dude that exposed him before critical drinker also. They dont know what they are talking about.i have agreed with some criticism like bad actong and lgbtq shows like the acolyte but still i don't even watch critics a ymore unless it's someone like jeremy johns or whatever his name is or that angry critic guy or double toasted. If i enjoyed it I'm not watching a negative review. That tyrone magnus coon wasnt on that shit before his girl left him. 7 noticed the change . He gained weight and was depressed as hell.

I used to watch nerdrotic because he was the only person doing week to week reviews of one of my favorite shows Counterpart on Starz. I tried to give him a chance but he started that racist crap and I stopped watching him. A vid popped up where he was calling Sam Wilson "captain black america" and im thinking like..im not sure if you're really a racist or just putting out racist content. It's like people lean into whatever gets them clicks. This is why I appreciate Rob over at comics explained. He stays true to who he is.

I stopped watching reviews shows and reading threads during WandaVison... I only watch Easter Egg shows after I finish a series to see what I missed...

I prefer to come into a show with fresh eyes and unbiased...

Ya'll put too much energy into others opinions...
this. The series was good, i enjoyed it and will probably watch it again.

When I do watch reviews it's from reviewers who have similar taste and aren't politically motivated, but ultimately people need to just watch shit on their own and make up their minds, if you in need someone to tell you what to watch and if it's good then that person is a moron who probably enjoys nothing but fast and furious movies lol

I watch John Campea and I hear what he has to say but I will go watch it anyway. Like he talked about how mid brave new world was and I completely disagree. Same thing with Thunderbolts. He talked about this great movie and how he was looking forward to it and I thought it was "good". Best thing i took out of that movie was the mental health angle.

Sadly. I got a bad feeling about both FF and Superman. I think Pedro Pascal is too cool to play reed richards..lol

I think superman is going to be a sleeper to be honest.

The Penguin is often over looked?!?!?! So he's overlooked, but he was in two of the three iterations of the Batman movie franchise...but he's overlooked. So THAT'S how I know you don't know what you're talking about. Again compelling is about who it was written for. Making a R rated tv show is going to be compelling for adults while a PG-13 show is going to be compelling for tweens and teens. Did your kids like season 3? You know what, don't bother answering cause you the type that will make shyt up just to prove a point.

Happy for you and your family and that you get to do Dad shyt, but I was talking in a general manner. If it doesn't apply, let it fly.

Brought up the Barbie movie to give an example to how people complain about a movie that wasn't made for them. The show wasn't made for you in mind. You're not the core audience. Sure watch it so you know how this bleeds into the movies, but this isn't for you. You brought up Stranger Things. The NOSTALGIA of Stranger Things is for you, the feelings and struggles that kids go through isn't. So when families are watching together, you know Dad Shyt. There is something for everyone.

And this is why nobody is really interacting with you. You keep jumping to conversations that nobody is having with you.

...but it's the BARBIE movie! Why would you go see that?!?!?! I missed that shyt when it was in the theaters, downloaded it and have yet to watch it at home! Wife, daughter and sister-in-law (and her daughter too I think) all watched from my PLEX server. Just nothing about ANY of it interests me. I will say Issa Raw (I know it's Rae, but I LOVE me some of her and that is what I would do! RAW!!!) is the only thing that would get me to watch that movie, but it is like a guest appearance so the two hours of my life is not worth it.

Dawg they BEEN having practically senior citizens playing teenagers!!! Hell Zach Efron JUST started playing an adult. The homie that plays Spider-Man is 10 years away from retiring and signing up for AARP, but Peter Parker STAYS in high school!

The conversation

Says the Biden supporter. *yea i don't know if you actually supported Biden, but I really don't give a fuck either*.
Ratings lol now i know you sound crazy lol; Ima stop with this right here; I could kill you with all the other tv shows viewership as well; you sound crazy fam; just stop...

Loki Season 2 had a strong start, with its premiere being the second most-watched season premiere on Disney+ in 2023, behind only The Mandalorian season 3. The premiere garnered 10.9 million views globally within three days. The season finale also saw strong viewership, with 11.2 million global views in the same timeframe, a 3% increase from the premiere.

Loki season 1 had a strong start on Disney+, with the premiere drawing 890,000 U.S. households on its first day, according to Deadline. This made it the biggest U.S. premiere day audience for any Marvel Disney+ series at the time. Over the first five days, it was estimated that 2.5 million households watched the premiere. However, viewership declined throughout the season, with the finale being watched by 1.9 million households.

"WandaVision" was a popular series for Disney+, with its premiere ranking sixth in the Nielsen streaming rankings. It earned 4.8 billion minutes-watched during its nine-episode run, averaging 600 million minutes per week according to observer.com, with the finale week reaching 924 million. Some reports indicate it was the most-watched Disney+ series of 2021 based on viewing time.

"The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" had a strong debut on Disney+, becoming the streaming service's most-watched series premiere ever, according to Deadline. While Disney+ didn't release specific viewership numbers, they stated it surpassed both the premiere of WandaVision and the second season premiere of The Mandalorian. Nielsen data indicated the series ranked second among original streaming series, behind Netflix's Ginny & Georgia, with 855 million minutes viewed in the week of April 12-18, according to Deadline. The series also saw a steady rise in viewership throughout its six-episode run.

One question: Do you think these shows helped Marvel IP's, or hurt in the long run? Think about the box office right now.

Glad I pushed through the pilot. Really wanted to enjoy the show and for me - it was on; clicked before end of pilot ep and never had an issue with it thereafter. I HOPE this level of care and connection is brought to ALL MCU projects from here but if that’s too much then at least the ones Coogler and Proximity are exec producing.

1. when it comes to great stories from Batman, Penguin always side villain of some way. He tends to have the info on the big bad threat. I like Penguin as a character, but he has never been the big threat to Batman outright like the Joker, Mr. Freeze, Ras, Clayface, or Bane.

2. My daughters were young af for Season 3 of Stranger Things. My niece was so-so on it. She was in that age group it was marketed to.

3. A lot of folks complaining about this show are Dads. Quit generalizing.

4. The "wasn't made for them" argument is tired af. A good story can transcend the initial audience it was made for. Think about Game of Thrones, for example, anyone can relate to that story of ASOIAF. It's about connecting to basic human nature. Something Ironheart misses the mark on.

5. It's cool if you like it. Just don't get mad when others dislike a show for legit reasons. Ironheart is a bad hero origin show, and a mediocre villain origin story. It misses all the marks for the audience to find Ironheart as even a sympathetic character period.

You can like bad content. Its your right....

  1. WHAT?!?!? Clayface??? He wasn't even in the movies!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! What're we doing here homie?!?!
    1. But he has never been the big threat??? He was the main in Batman II. In The Batman he hadn't become the Penguin yet so not all fair to make him the Big Bad, but he had his own show to BECOME The Penguin. They don't do that to side villains. So again you don't know what you're talking about.
  2. Proved my point so not rehashing that point
  3. Dads complaining LIKE IT WAS MADE FOR THEM.
  4. So your niece can sit through Godfather I & II and go: "...that was a GREAT movie!" What 8 year old is watching GoT? Keep in mind the dragons don't show up later and the first season is a snoozefest for kids. Also I REALLY ?uestion the adults that let CHILDREN watch GoT! A TV-MA rated show, "Yep, as a family we're all watching this! C'mon kids family TV time, we're gonna watch this show with its blatant rape and incest."
  5. Never got mad. ?uestioned you for comparing a R rated show to a PG-13 show. Like comparing Nightmare on Elm Street to Insidious. They market and water one down for the audience they're trying to pull.
You can use the same bullshyt criticism that white bigots use to shyt on black shows, that is your right.

We're all wasting time arguing with a guy who claims to be cool with one of the online leaders of people who will literally melt down anytime anyone of any race other than white is in a movie lmao

Slow day at work, but I am done. I was going to blind reply and just say I didn't care, but the outrageousness of Clayface and kids watching Game of Thrones that it had to be brought up.

Yeah I'm done with that troll myself, I didn't realize I was speaking to one of those bgol types

Finished the final 3 and overall I'd say it was an average watch, like 7/10. It has entertainment, action scenes are pretty good (nothing looks low budget), again for me some of Dom's expressions tune me out of certain scenes, and there were times where things felt a little corny (i.e. "it hurtssss" moment). I still believe if they kept it close to the comic's storyline it would have hit better, she was not involved with magic related situations early on and her suit was strictly tech based so that addition in the last 2 episodes was a little "meh".. But the intro of Sacha's character is interesting if they actually do something with it, which I'm not sure will happen in the immediate sense because Dr Doom is the focus for the major films it seems. But again, 7/10 for me. A good watch.

Yeah, I thought the comic had a better origin story, but her initial comic did have her battling magical villains. Her father who was supposed to be dead was actually alive leading the group the Ten Rings with the name Dune.

It's one of those throw away storylines that is new to younger readers. But there was magic in her initial comic run.

Here’s Where Ironheart Fits in the MCU Timeline According to Disney+

where-ironheart-fits-when-take-place-mcu-timeline-marvel-disney-plus.jpg

According to Disney+, which has a category specifically named “MCU Complete Timeline,” Ironheart comes after Miss Marvel and the 2022 Thor movie. The official timeline book reveals that Miss Marvel occurs somewhere between September and October 2025, while Thor: Love and Thunder also takes place around the same time in October 2025.

Meanwhile, Werewolf by Night clearly occurs around Halloween during the same year, so we can estimate that Ironheart has to be squarely in October too. This timeline, without any mention of Ironheart, is also duplicated on Marvel’s page on the MCU timeline.

This placement fits with what Ironheart producers Sev Ohanian and Zoie Nagelhout have already said. Nagelhout revealed that the series occurs “between six months to a year after Wakanda Forever” while Ohanian was more precise, saying that it is indeed “six months” after the movie. Since Disney+ suggests that the 2022 Black Panther movie takes place in Spring or Summer 2025, this all fits with the existing timeline.

1. Bet you can't tell me one popular comic run that Penguin was the major threat in.
2. Read that response again.
3. Stuck on the "made for them" argument. Not using them brain cells today I see.
4. Now you are talking apples, and oranges. For your argument sake, I was watching Godfather 1-2 when we were way too young to watch it. That movie changed the way I watched movies. We watched Harlem Nights around the same time. We also watched Def Comedy Jam way too early, but still laughed. Good art can transcends the initial audience it was created for.
5. I made the Penguin comparison based off the amount of money each show spent to create it. Now since you stuck at that stupid ass argument you want to harp on, lets play the game. Both Ironheart, and The Penguin both had movie roles that made around the same amount of money. The only difference between the two is that HBO knows how to make TV shows. They have the TV show broken down to a formula, and WB barely interferes with the process. Disney is why Ironheart is getting panned at the end of the day.

BTW, you know there's black critics giving this show bad reviews also? Ironheart is not the hill to be dying over homie. Let the show be bad.
