Ironheart lands its lead writer. I'm ready to see this one.

I could see that point, I still don't like it though. If Hood wasn't a real villian, but just another side character, then they spent too much time on him.

I don't know if I can call Riri a villian but she is definitely her own worst enemy. I like said before, 3 different characters (including her mother!) called Riri a selfish manipulative asshole who uses people. And it became harder and harder to defend her as the series went on
I think they have a plan for Hood. Just like Mephisto…..without Hood the Mephisto character reveal doesn’t hit the same. And this is why I liked it or one of the reasons. It feels like it’s building towards something. Echo, Hawkeye, Secret Invasion….just cash grabs that were cool but there was nothing revealing or made you want to see what happens next. They have so many possibilities to go to with Riri, Mephisto, Hood….her friend with magic…..

As far as her being a villain….her step dad was the biggest person and contributor to what she became and never thought to bring him back, she steals, selfish, killed Hoods cousin, made a deal with the devil…the evil shit she do is on par with most villain origin stories….and she ain’t spin the block for Natalie or or Stepdad she evil.. and did yall notice her little evil ass ain’t save nobody lol? Not once?

But that’s why I liked it. A different take to an origin story….

Slow watching this show just finished episode 3, good show, a lil gay but that's default with Gen Z.

It is so interesting how Marvel hears the complaints but is NOT stopping the gay shit at all.

Sorry to break this into multiple post, but I felt like one more sentence in the last one would have resulted in Colin Powell kicking down the door like Kool-aid man.

Anyway getting back to characters, can I holla at you BGOL George Jefferson walkers right quick? All you No Ma t-shirt wearing 'real men'.
strutting-george-jefferson.gif
yeah you. Come let me get at you right quick.

Y'all motherfuckers had me worried this show was basically Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Like that character would be in booty shorts, calling everyone Girrrrlllll, and sucking dick in every episode. I don't think this nigga even sounded gay. He just dressed like a weirdo and that was enough to set ya off for 10 pages of calling dude a fag and complaining about the gay agenda.

I have some more to say, but just for you George Jefferson walking real men, I'ma drop this gif off to end this post. Have fun with it.

i have never understood, for the life of me, how straight men be so worried and concerned and upset, about gay men!! it makes no sense to me whatsoever!! I thought the show was about 7/10; it was solid! above average show! it could have been better but its straight! it had it moments and i think mephisto helped improve the show! all the so called gay shit didnt bother me because im not checking for it nor am i paying attention to it! the show didnt center around gay shit so im not sure why that is even mention by you so called straight guys...

If you cats are focused on just Hood.

Then you are not looking at the full story.

Its pretty obvious Hood has not been the first acolyte Mephisto has had going by the conversation he had with Hood/Riti.

The bigger story is Mephisto is in panic mode because of the Scarlet Witch.

We saw the Scarlet Witch achieve full power and get access to the Darkhold book. That shit sent a APB to Mephisto. Good chance their is information in that book on how to take out Mephisto/Dormammu and other cosmic entities.

Hood was like Loki to Thanos, when Thanos gave him the Mind Stone. Loki was just a tool. Hood was a tool. And now Riri is a tool.

Mephisto would have been a waste of time if he debuted earlier in the series. No way Riri could go against him. Mephisto proved his power over her when he over rode her suit and opened it up.

The fireworks will happen when Mephisto confronts Wanda. Mephisto will probably show back up in “Vision Quest” in some way.

We will wait and see…
First acolyte Mephisto???
Is that from the comics?
Like a Horsemen of Apocalypse?
Comic book Mephisto got a squad? Cool, how deep do they roll?

And I do agree that these series hit better when you can tell how to fit into the larger world of the movies. I'm just debating which kinda tease is 'better'.

Thanos sitting in a chair talking shit for a decade or heroes in these Marvel magic projects suddenly screaming out in pain as evil magic takes over... fade to black.

I think the problem people have is the shoe horning the LGBT shit I to shit just for the tuck of it. It did feel forced here and it feels forced in a lot of Disney products. I watched the Wire and Sopranos…..has it in there but didn’t feel forced.

It’s for sure forced here. A lot of gay people are in Hollywood and they feel they deserve representation so it is what it is. I don’t have a problem with it but I for sure get why people do and I ain’t gonna gay play them for it.

Bro, one of the main characters in the wire was a flamingo gangster! It was way more pronounced and shown etc etc in the wire than in iron heart! Dude in this show was just a flamboyant dressed weirdo, who cares!! It’s overly with straight guys concentrating on this for real! Grown ass men where full kissing each other in the wire but that’s just a part of the show lol lol; but a flamboyant weird nigga that talk funny was too much in iron heart lol lol lol! Yea ok….

Like I said the Wire it didn’t feel forced. Especially at that time. They didn’t put his character in there to pander to gay people. Because at that time it was taboo and not even seen in crime genre.

If you can take a character’s out of a shoe and the show doesn’t miss a beat? That’s shoe horning and pandering. The whole heist team was pointless. It didn’t stop me from enjoying it but I for sure can peep game on Hollywood. We know when they playing in our face as a viewer.

because then gays will complain about not being represented. Which do you think Marvel would rather not pick a fight with?

That part and we gotta remember Mickey paper much longer than Marvel…if it means take a loss there and a gain elsewhere they will do it.

It’s obvious cats are more focused on Slug being “Gay” and not understanding his character.

Slug stated he was from Madripoor. Anyone familiar with that country reading the books knows that island nation is primarily a criminal haven. It was introduced in the MCU in “Falcon & Winter Soldier” and they stated what the country was about.

It’s also a place that attracts misfits, outlaws, weirdos and all other people who are considered “Outsiders” and do not fit in with normal society.

A character like Slug would fit right in at Madripoor.

I watched this show yesterday and I thought it was good. Yeah it was a bit slow starting off. But it picked up halfway through. It seems as though it has been cancelled. Hopefully Disney changes their mind.
It was always a miniseries. Disney doesn’t want to commit big budgets in their series anymore from what I’ve read.

This was such a well written show.
I loved seeing Cree and the girl that plays her daughter too.
I have no idea why black people especially ADOS aren't supporting this more.
There should be watch parties.
It was so well done.
Disney killed the watch party aspect by dropping them like they did. It deserves its praise though I hope it doesn’t just fall to the way side goes forgotten. There’s a few characters we for sure need to see again.

I never realized just how pretty Dominique actually is...
She’s beautiful. I peeped it day one. I think she’s suppose to be younger than she is so they put her in certain attire and braids. She’s beautiful. I’ve checked to see what else she’s done and I’ve seen those movies but I do not remember her in them lol except Wakanda Forever.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige says fans can expect to see more of Sacha Baron Cohen’s "formative" Mephisto after making his MCU debut in Ironheart: "Now that he's here, the potential is clear"

As we approach Marvel Phase 6, Kevin Feige says that Marvel plans to include Sacha Baron Cohen's Mephisto in the MCU going forward.

"He was never part of WandaVision. We've talked about that. Matt's talked about that. Jack Schaefer's talk about that. He was never part of WandaVision," Feige explained at a press conference attended by GamesRadar+, when asked whether Mephisto was supposed to make an earlier debut in the MCU. "But the enthusiasm with which he was theorised on that was certainly cool and fun to watch. And he's another character that, pre-MCU, would have been hard to do. He's a devil. How do you do that character? But he's a formative character. He was a big part of Thanos' storyline in the comics. So again, now that he's here, the potential is clear."

When asked if the plan is to "use more" of Mephisto in the MCU going forward, Feige simply replied, "Yes."

Mephisto made his comic book debut in The Silver Surfer #3, which hit shelves in 1968, initially intended to be a supervillain for the Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider. He made his way into Spider-Man's rogues gallery before crossing paths with Vision and the Scarlet Witch – which is why so many Marvel fans believed he was supposed to originally be in WandaVision, or had simply been lurking in the shadows the entire time.

Ironheart marks the official debut of the character, which saw Riri (Dominique Thorne) make a deal with Mephisto (Cohen) in the season finale. Thorne previously revealed that she didn't even know who Cohen was playing until after they filmed their scenes together, implying that Marvel intended to keep the character's introduction shrouded in mystery. Ironheart marks the end of Marvel Phase 5, as The Fantastic Four: First Steps ushers in Marvel Phase 6 and brings about a new era.

Ironheart is streaming now on Disney Plus. In the meantime, fill out your watchlist with the other upcoming Marvel movies and shows, or get up to speed with our guide on how to watch the Marvel movies in order.

this was good...season 2 gone be good since she made that deal...

This show was done years ago, so who knows if it continues. They're already cutting back on the number of Disney Plus shows.

That shit was excessive in Ironheart to the point it got ridiculous with that crew. They can't throw that shit in a white show? It's already hard enough for a show with a mostly black cast.
