LOL! #80 in a four-issue limited series! LOL!

Stay after the credits to see Sam Jackson as Nick Fury.

I appreciate it cuz, if not for BGOL I would've missed the scene myself. Hell I was the nigga arguing with his podnas about the Professor X scene in X3, until I saw the shit on hbo last week...I'm guessing the after credits teaser is about to become a Marvel staple. That said, I expect Dark Knight to be a beast

LOL. What the fuck happened at the end of X3???

Did anyone peep the Ghostface playing on the big screen on his private Jet?

Good shyt.

Robert Downey Jr made me believe he was Tony Stark. I was so into the movie that I hated it when it was over. This is right up there with Batman Begins if not better IMO. My reasoning is because this one is out the gate fire where Batman Begins is really Batman 5.

Props to everyone in the movie because it is probably the best casted superheroe movie so far. Yeah when Rhodes looked at that suit folks went crazy.

GO to the movies to see it!!! The bootleg won't do it justice.

Transformers are not part of the marvel universe. Yes marvel used to publish the Transformers comic book back in the day. And there have been "crossover" specials since then. Transformers has been published by other publishers since the 90's.

*****spoiler******

There is another cameo in the movie. While taking off his suit after his first mission. Look on the table behind him. Guess whos shield that is he is developing.

WHO'S FUCKING SHIELD!? The suspense is killing me.

just got back from seeing it.

the SFX and CGI were damn good, i was extremely impressed.

the CGI for the Hulk trailer...not so much.

but the acting, story, pace, great, perfect.

superhero movies don't get better than this one.

DC better kick it into high gear.

I'm just glad Marvel is finally making movies for itself....no more bs like Daredevil or that first whack Hulk movie...this one looks promising.

u aint lyin. where im livin @ now it aint no dollar movie. nearest 1 is like 40 min. and the way gas prices is i might as well go 2 the reg theatre 5 min from the house. :smh:

I know. I used to live about 25 minutes from this one when I lived in Cleveland Hts. When I got back from overseas I moved out right across the street. Shit, stop by Burger King and get 2 whopper jr's with cheese, get about 2 pops or waters and I'm chilling.

I got caught twice sneaking food in (I got into the theater, but an usher was hiding in the back and saw my BK and called the manager) but now I am more careful. Shit, I just saw Jumper and liked that shit. They set that shit up to be a sequel from jump...(pun unintended)

Saw it yesterday. Damn good movie! Robert Downey was the shilznit. Jeff Bridges was great. Gwyneth Paltrow for some reason had me really wanting to fuck her after this movie. wish it was longer. maybe best overall acting a superhero movie.

Downey made this movie. couldn't see another actor playing this role to the level he did.

Terrence Howard was okay. just the other actors around him were much better. he getting them prime roles though. go head brutha.

I could have used 30 more minutes. wasnt crazy about the ending but still give it two thumps way up.

Anybody catch John Farveraeus cameo as the limo driver that raced Stark to the plane?LOL

He played Happy Hogan. In the movie he was part of Stark's security detail/driver. In the comics he was Stark's driver, good friend and eventual husband to Pepper Potts.

GOOD movie definitely worth my cash! However, Transformers still holds that #1 title. Along with X-men and Batman (1989) with Jack Nicholson! Why don't they use another villan in the Batman movies instead of using the Joker again? I think Nicholson nailed that shut.

Nicholson was good, but I think Ledger is gonna take it to another level..

Just saw Iron Man last night and that movie was awesome. I can't wait for the next one and the segway to introduce SHIELD to the mix.

was that ghost face or g-unit that was playing on stark's big screen on his jet?

Funniest part in the movie:
1) where he did the afro/nunchuck ninja type of salto while testing the boosters for the first time.
2) the helper bot with the fire extinguisher, ahahahhahahahah sprayed his ass twice.

Who was the villain? Was it a Marvel bad guy or some made up shit?

Oh yeah, he can fly! Iron Man Rockets to $201M worldwide!

ComingSoon.net has posted the impressive box office estimates for Iron Man, which follow below:

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios' Iron Man exceeded all expectations, earning a massive $100.75 million during its opening weekend domestically from 4,105 theaters and $104.2 million since debuting Thursday night, averaging $24,543 per site. Internationally, the film has also earned an incredible $96.7 million in 57 countries since it began opening Wednesday, putting its worldwide total at $201 million after just five days! The comic book adaptation, directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges, was the 10th biggest opening of all-time and the fourth biggest for a superhero movie. Among nonsequels, it came in behind only the first Spider-Man, which opened with $114.8 million. As far as May openings, Iron Man came in at #8, just behind X-Men: The Last Stand's $102.8 million when you look at the three-day figure (not counting Thursday night). Financed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Paramount, the movie cost about $150 million to make and $75 million to market.

Guess which super hero uses a shield...

Wolverine
Batman
Hellboy
Howard the Duck
Captain America
Papa Smurf
Blankman

I will be the firs to admit that I gave this movie the Gas Face when I read that Robert Downey Jr. was going to play the lead. I lit his @$$ up and Hollywood for that move. HOWEVER, I have to admit...Iron Man was THE shizznit. No lie. The pace was good, the characters were on point, but more importantly, the time they took to show how he fined tuned the armor and him getting familiar with it was stellar.

You often fred books and see how they change into costume and it doesnt make sense, but you buy it, because, after all, it is a comic book... But the different prototypes, how he came up with the ideas, how the suits were crafted, how he put it on and took it off, it's capabilities...man, they did a great job with that. I salute the whole creative team that put this together!!

Don't get me wrong, this does not make up for Daredevil, The Punisher (both versions), Superman, Ghost Rider, Captain America, The Fantastic 4 and a host of other garbage that has come out or is due to come out (HULK). But I am really impressed by the effort.

Howard the Duck son! :lol::lol::lol:

Yeah that movie was the shit. i think this is going to be the next BIG trilogy for Marvel (they had to fuck it up with Spidey 3).

As for the cats who keep saying that Transformers were part of the Marvel universe do you research. They were on Marvel as a limited/marketed franchise. It went to Marvel UK then fizzled out for years before Dreamwave picked up the rights up until Dreamwave went bankrupt. IDW Comics now owns the rights to the Transformers comic titles.

What? You were upset @ Downey getting cast? WTF? Good thing you don't produce movies because I couldn't think of a better fit for the role. I was ecstatic at finding out that news. Personlly any ol' average white guy can be picked to LOOK the part because Starks' physical appearance is pretty generic but his complex personality and character flaws... Downey was PERFECT to pull that off and he can ACTUALLY ACT.

LOL

CHEAPASSNESS..:lol::lol::lol:

just fuckin wit u....thats a good deal, but Iron Man was the shit in stadium seating. Most of those dollar shows are rinky dink

I went out and saw it at matinee price (shit, I still paid $6.50) and IT WAS THE SHIT!!!! I forgot to stay until the end to see Nick Fury. I guess I'll wait until it comes to the dollar show to see that.
