I’m guessing their in a bad place for as sanctions and don’t want to keep dealing with themWhy would they trust The West, though?

Those sanctions are never going to be lifted, though. Israel and the US want to totally destroy Iran, that's no pathway to peace for them. It's either war or nothing.
There’s had to be more to it, they restored talks with The IAEA now at the last minute ditch this
