iPhone X in the wild

Text from child: "I need $50 for a yearbook."
Parent: " I will pay half"
Transaction done via another text
still doesnt explain how that's easier than wallet. But hey, you tried.

what if the child doesn't have an iphone?
You're not even making sense.

I stated, "Whatever 3rd party app the person you're sending to is using."

If the user is on an Android device then they would probably use whatever app the person requesting money is using.
you are not making sense. Let me break it down for you.
An android user can send money to ANYONE via Wallet or Gmail. The recipient does NOT need to have Wallet or any other payment app.
Using Apple Pay, you can only send money to another user that has Apple Pay.
On iMessage, you can only send money to another user that is using iMessage.
So again, tell me how this is easier than sending money via Wallet, when you are limited to sending money to Apple users only?

http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/1...ts-android-messages-integration-apk-teardown/

Last month, a teardown of the Android Messages apphinted that there would probably be some built-in feature to allow people to quickly send or request money over SMS. The text was vague and left room to question if Google Wallet would be the service that enabled payments; but with this update, it's safe to confirm exactly that. Google Wallet is getting integration with the Android Messages app.

The promo text below explains how it works. To send or request money, all you have to do is open a chat with somebody and add a payment or request as an attachment. From the sound of it, you should be able to send payments or requests without ever switching apps.

If we're talking about iMessage why wouldn't they haven an iPhone?

I also notice you either left out or didn't read what I put in the thread you just quoted.

Damn, so u have to make sure your friend has imessage and u have to make sure they are using a supported device. Damn, Wallet doesn't have those limits.

What does this have to do with iMessage though?

I never stated this would happen outside iMessage.

You can do all these things with other users with iMessage as long as they have TouchID.

Same can't be said for any messaging (besides text) on Android.

Default Android messaging app
Allo
Samsung Messenger
Hangouts

I don't need you to break anything down to me.

Odds are I know more about the Android platform, have beta tested more and have owned more Android devices than you ever will.

You're talking about an app and I'm talking about the ecosystem, try to keep up.

Once again I will quote the part from my other thread directly to you.

Yes, this was never in dispute.

Because the scenario was dealing with iMessage users.

That's nice. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Fact remains, iPhone users can only send money to other iPhone users. Android users can send to anyone. Not sure how this is ready for an iPhone user that wants to send money to a non iPhone user. But I know, that doesn't matter, right.

Anyway, as you can see from the link I posted, you can soon send money from the default Message app.

Nothing I stated is an opinion.

You're attempting to change your argument because you have nothing to stand on.

Fact remains, iPhone users can only send money to other iPhone users.

This was never an argument, I guess you skipped over the section where I stated they would use a third party app.

Android users can send to anyone.

So can an iPhone user.

The default Message App that doesn't support high quality videos?

The same default Message App that doesn't seem to be the default app on the Galaxy user in this thread?

Thank you for pointing out the problem of the default messaging app.

No argument was changed. We are taking about sending money, correct?

For someone that claims to know more about Android than I do, you seem a little lost. Android phones (Nexus, pixels) use Google's default Message app. Why? Because they are Google phones. Samsung phones use their default app. Not sure what the problem is here. Different manufactures, use different default apps.

An iPhone user can send money via iMessage or Apple Pay to anyone that doesn't have an iPhone? Can you provide me a link to confirm this. Thanks.

It is your opinion, because you don't know what I've owned or used or tested. Do you know what an opinion is?

Maybe you have your threads confused.

Android is a platform.

There are more Android devices outside of Googles' own device.

Google what the problem is with Android having different default messaging apps depending on the carrier.

Scroll up in this thread.

You haven't tested nor owned or used more Android or mobile devices than I have.

I miss Apple's message system. That's about the only thing I miss. Everything else is a hit or miss with both. Another thing, recording at 4k 60FPS won't be all that it's cracked up to be either.

Google's default messenger now allows sending money via text. Has Apple allowed this via iMessage yet? Or is it still on beta? I sent money via text to someone with an iPhone. They had no issues receiving it
