Tim Russert’s cynical attempt to drop the Farrakhan litmus test on Prince Obama was a miserable spectacle to behold and casts one’s mind back to the 1984 Jesse Jackson campaign during which the NOI leader was similarly employed in a bid to derail Jackson’s effort to grace the White House with a Black Presidency.<iframe height="339" width="425" src="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22425001/vp/23361919#23361919" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>
During the course of his electoral campaign, Barack Obama has clearly surpassed Louis Farrakhan to emerge as the single most inspiring and messianic Black Man in America and throughout the World and one ~ judging by the tens of thousands thronging to hear him speak ~ capable of outdrawing the NOI leader any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
If Barack Obama were to call a “Millions for Change” march on Washington D.C. this summer he would easily haul TEN MILLION Americans of all races and faiths to the US capitol ~ a feat Farrakhan couldn’t pull off in his wildest dreams. One can now safely proclaim that the Farrakhan Era is well and truly over and that the Age of Obama has arrived.
