It saddens me to admit this but in 99% of the cases I'm not for it. In an overwhelming number of instances black men or women who date white people do so bc they suffer from a massive deep seeded inferiority complex; that they themselves don't even recognize. To most, being with a white person offers more access or acceptance... all of the sudden they're exceptional compared to other blacks. This holds true for asians, indians, and many other minority groups that date exclusively white.
With all that said, It's impossible for me to accept anyone who's involved interracially that doesn't acknowledge, accept, and understand the influence that race has played and the trauma it continues to cause. Religion, law, politics, art, literature, and even science are satiated with cue's that blacks are inferior. If you in any way don't acknowledge, understand, recognize, and address this you can't comprehend the implications of dating outside of your race and you have no business doing so.
As a parent of two black boys it troubles me. My wife and I talk about it all the time and have concluded that in 99% of the cases parents accept and justify interracial relationships bc they've raised their kids in predominately white environments. In many instances the parents failed to expose and reinforce their kids to significant black experiences (happens on here all the time... black colleges are inferior, etc. we just discount our shit: summarily). WE ARE THE ONLY GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT VIEW OURSELVES THROUGH THE LENSE OF OUR FORMER OPPRESSOR/ SUBJUGATOR CONTROLLER, ETC. WE WE'RENT ALLOWED TO COMMUNICATE FOR SO LONG THAT THE MISTRUST IS ALMOST CELLULAR AND OUR VANTAGE OF OURSELVES IS THROUGH WHITE PEOPLES LENSE.
On a deeper level black families, for a majority of the time spent here, have existed in a perpetual state of instability. We've, for too long, found ourselves dependent upon the benevolence of our oppressors for safety.

Racism is proactive not reactive and being proud of the color of your skin, in this instance, is in direct contrast to social norms predicated for centuries; in other words the pride is a necessary response.
