man, i fucked up and updated my IDM, which of course then said its not been registered, so i installed the joint from this thread and it said i used a fake serial.

Anybody know how to install this when you already have an older, registered IDM running? I don't want to lose my premium privileges.

You have to run the patch again. Then use the keygen. After you update the patched files are over written. You just have to close IDM, make sure it' not running, patch it again.

I deleted my old version of IDM 6.02. Now when I install 6.08 I get the fake serial pop up and the patch says that nothing is done! How can I fully delete all traces of the old IDM and start clean?

i got it. For some reason the 6.08 patch would not take. So i download IDM from the website and patched it with 6.02 patch then 6.08 patch. lets see how long it lasts before I get the fake serial prompt.

Proof it's working with no issues:
1. Install IDM.
2. Make sure IDM is fully closed and not running.
3. Copy and paste or drag and drop the patch into the installation folder.
4. Run the patch.
5. Done
