Anybody have any firsthand experience with working in the life insurance field. Is it a lucrative career field to get into. What are some of the ups and downs that someone looking from the outside, may not see. I'm thinking about doing it but I am unsure.

If you are a self-starting, thick skinned, positive thinker with ambition this is a good field to go into. You can make decent upfront commissions plus get renewals so it can be pretty profitable. Insurance also gives you business experience I use to sell for Mutual of Omaha and the experience was great. Downside is if you don't sell you don't get paid. You have to stay motivated and there's a lot of rejection. If you are with a multi-level or start-up company you have to watch your back, there's some thieves in this business.

My brother…
If I were to get back into that game, I would only market people have own homes with equity in them and show them how I can get them what they need to protect their families and the cost is not a tax write-off!
Everyone that has a family needs this type of insurance. But most policies laps in one year and the other side is they don’t have the money to spend one what they need… The fucking SUV and shit is more important…
Stay up!
