Confused Face, otherwise known as Keshia Johnson, is the Alabama teen whose photo shot to fame on Instagram over the past year. Her famed photo showed her with a confused-WTF face, and she has since appeared in countless Internet memes. They ranged from funny to not so funny, and her photo was the brunt of many jokes. After over a year of torment, Keshia has finally had enough.
Keshia has decided to sue Instagram for $500 million dollars. The teen says the photo looks nothing like herself in real life. Johnson said, “My face looked ugly like I was about to throw up.” She also calls herself a “bad bitch.” While we’re sure seeing her photo being made fun of all over the internet has taken its toll, Keshia has provided a laugh or two.
What will happen moving forward? Instagram has a policy that states users are responsible for the content they share. With the popularity of memes and gifs, social media users now have tools at their disposal to produce pictures of anyone.
