Insider says Nissan has "12-14" months to survive

Good, what they did to customers from about 2007-2017 with them junk cvt transmissions they shouldn't do business until they make some type of amends for it. It was predatory in my opinion.

They knew them transmissions was junk and kept putting them in the market. Then did a recall they did after they got sued was a joke. The Toyota cvts are much better so it's just them, and they knew it. There's was a class action lawsuit that probably didn't pay near what it was worth to have a car that you can't drive and if you get it fixed you know deep down inside it won't last long.

I changed one out in my neighbors car, she was a single mom with 2 kids. I put one in out the junkyard and I told her, this is gonna fail, I can't tell you how much time you got but it's gonna fail. Now that it's running, I'd get rid of it if I was you.

And the suspension was crappy and everyone I rode in.

If fuckin' Mitsubishi is still selling cars, Nissan ain't goin' no damn where!

C'mon son!
I bought 94 eclipse brand new. That shit started smoking at 20,000 miles. You're right, how the fuck they survived.
Your right..
I remember test driving one..
Brand new..
The M/F overheated 2miles down the road.

But I thought Tyrese & them Fast/Furious dudes made Eclipse' cool again ;)
Y'all ninjas probably blew your car up trying to add nitrous to it.....don't even try to lie
Back in the day, ninjas had those Mitsubishi's "Riced Out" :D

Rivian wins preliminary approval for $6.6B federal loan for Georgia EV plant

Rivian (RIVN) announced late Monday night that it won a “conditional commitment” from the Department of Energy (DOE) for a $6.6 billion loan, highlighting Rivian’s improving capital condition.

The loan, part of the DOE’s Energy’s Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing (ATVM) program, would support the construction of Rivian’s upcoming assembly plant located outside of Atlanta. Rivian paused development of the site back in March due to concerns about its capital position. At the time, Rivian said building its upcoming R2 vehicles at its existing Normal, Ill., plant instead would save the company over $2 billion in costs.

If finalized, the new DOE loan would restart Rivan’s plans to develop the Georgia assembly plant

I had nice 06 Maxima and some dummy rear ended me a week after I paid it off. This was like 2013. The offerings were kind of meh and I got in a mazda, If these had pushed small and mid-sized hybrids to compete with prius, I think they'd be in better positions now.

I'll never buy another Nissan. Had a 2002 Altima. Fist thing happened was them plastic door handles breaking off. Second thing was the key no longer code matching the ignition module. Heat never worked that great. A/C was ok. Last thing that happened was the timing chain broke (yeah they had timing chains and not belts)!! I get it, this was a 13 year old car when I bought it in 2015. Don't matter! I ain't ever going there again!
I can relate. My issues and feelings towards Nissan are well known and documented so I won't go into detail but yeah it's FUCK NISSAN forever from me.

Yeah they took way to long to address their CVT issues...Honda and Subaru used similar CVTs and didn't have anywhere near the amount of problems...shocking they didn't address the situation as their reputation was getting destroyed

Heard its better now but the damage has been done...shame, they got a great history

Wasn't that decades ago and wasn't Datsun known for having bullshit cars and that's why they got rid of the name?

They were cheap, reliable starter cars for low income people.

Keep it a few years and trade it in for a better car.

I believe they dropped the brand back in the 80s.

That's not a good thing

What cheap and low budget car last. Kia and Hyundai changed for a reason.

Remember.

Datsun were big sellers back in the 70s during the Oil Crisis.

American Cars back then were the Muscle Cars and “Land Yachts” all with big gas guzzling V6/V8s.

Those Datsun were selling like hot cakes with their V4 engines. They weren’t great cars, like I said they were starter cars compared to what Detroit was putting out back then.

Honda’s were selling big in the 70s also.

Hope Honda knows what its doing...Nissan is part owner of Mitsubishi so Mitsubishi is in the mix too

Japanese cars are all losing market share in China big time and I know they are trying to combat that but that is an uphill battle

Everyone's an expert...on here anyway.

That’s a good way to kick off the year.

Rivian stock skyrocketed 24.5% on Friday after the company released a strong 2024 sales report.
