In Last 30 Years, Black Churches Have Taken $420 Billion From Members

its the highest profiting tax free business there is...
just imagine how much the white churches and catholic church is pulling in.

See that's why the business of religion in America only benefits cac's in the grand scheme. There was a post here a while back where brother Umar broke down how the big banks profit off black churches because they hold all our money.

All those billions could have been used to open our own banks and supply loans for us.

You can't follow a religious system that was used to oppress you from the jump :smh:

This religion was forced on the black community. Until people wake up to that fact, shit won't change. The percentage of black Christians in the us should be less than 5 percent of the community. People are lost. :smh:

why does God need my money? where does he spend?

That's the same thing my ten year old daughter said when I was telling her the story about Jim Jones. As she put it "If I was God and I wanted money I'd just go poof and it would be there."

I understand asking people to pitch in to keep the lights on and the roof fixed, but I heard a pastor once ask his flock to turn over their rent money. Another told a story about how he bought a new car and financed it parishioner's name without her permission. The saddest part was all the "amens" and "hallelujahs" that filled the church right after.

My first wife told me about how her pastor had finally been able to burn his mortgage so he took the whole congregation out to Country Kitchen Buffet. I remembered a few months earlier when I had been there last They still owed about $50,000. So I asked "you bought this guy a piece of LAND and all he did was take you out for dinner?" This was a blue collar church where most people bust their ass and still can't buy a house. Meanwhile this asshole puts in one day a week and winds up owning land?!!:smh:

The Roman Catholic church owns the biggest bank in the world and you niggaz patting other black peoples pockets. you niggaz cant see the forest for the trees.

and not a single dime from me. I was raised as a Muslim until I was 8, and by the time I got to Christian churches I just didn't get it. why does God need my money? where does he spend? why does the preacher drive a Jaguar or better and we're catching the bus? Why does the collection plate go around 5 to 10 times a service? why do people think that these stories are real, true life, really happened stories and not parables to teach lessons? these stories don't make a lot of sense. God kind of seems like an asshole. you mean, God is jealous if you love your kids more than him and wants to make you prove that you don't? God just let the devil torture somebody?

man, I pissed my mom off with these damn questions. I have never been one to accept shit just because it's on my plate. I have never accepted the answer because I said so. I, could not be one of the sheep so me and church don't get along. if I was a real scandal if individual I would start my own church and take advantage of these idiots giving their hard earned money so that I could look good and live good.

Hey didn't you peddle gay and tranny porn for rapidshare points? What part of religion is that?

If you don't attend church or go to any functions organized by the church how would you know what the church was doing for the community?

Yall act like some of these white folks who just make blanket statements and tout them as fact. Some don't even believe in God or have been to a church claiming they know what the church does with their money.

Guess what? If you don't believe in God or attend church you are probably hanging out in places where the Church does not go. If some of you actually took the time to attend a church you would easily see all the programs they have for the community.

It is what it is. If people want to donate to something that makes them feel good then so be it. Same with strippers.

I just don't like the false premise that some churches sell that they are "giving back" to the community. A few years ago I read how a big megachurch making hundreds of millions a year was approached by a community group to help rebuild some neighborhoods. The church basically told them to fuck off.

A church making $300 mil a year can do so much for a community
Build a hospital
Build affordable daycares for working parents with low income
Offer low interest mortgages
Offering low interest business loans
Offering full college scholarships
etc
etc

I'm not saying that all churches don't do these things. It's just that these megachurches just aren't transparent with the funds. IDK. Maybe it's me.

I am a Christian(not going to debate religion on here so don't bother) and this is really a shame though

Corruption is all in the church and this is why so many have been turned off of it all together

All the great things that could've been done with all that money and some great things were done with it but far too much of the money was not spent correctly

Black community is still suffering

Do you get anything that you pray for?..

I'm asking because I'm also a Christian and I don't think Jesus respect me. :hmm:

I'm disappointed that your mom didn't take you to scripture. I get that there are a great many people who misappropriate the word of God for their own financial game, but that does not make all churches evil. You are supposed to a tenth and then offerings as you see fit, but you are not supposed to be breaking yourself in a church. If you hear that you need to be breaking yourself, it's time to move around. At the end of the day, those people being fleeced are as responsible as people who buy time shares or folks that get jacked in Vegas.

I just bought this recently off the net. Jeremiah Camera hits the nail on the head in this documentary.

All I know is if you are raised in a community that has more churches than legitimate places of employment you are in trouble. No matter what "Good Will"Churches do they aren't engines of commerce. They don't pay taxes and they don't employ large amounts people. Every time a real business closes and the property becomes a storefront church that is a loss for the community at large. Black folks and poor Americans in general need to unplug from the "MATRIX" of nonsense that has gripped them for centuries. Sad to say for Black Americans the so called "Black Church" has been one of the most effective tools used to oppress us, second only to the Constitution of the united States and the US government at large.

It's ridiculous with that much money being given more hasn't been done for black communities.

All these pastors are more concerned with building a mega church to get more followers to tithe and give offering than they are about being a voice and help to their communities.

My childhood pastor did this for years. He had everyone tithe for a building fund and kept track of how much each memeber put toward the project so we could get a new bigger church facility to accommodate more members. Years went by I grew up to teenage when they finally decided to complete the build. You know what the pastor did? He took all the money and told the congregation he was moving down south and that he wouldn't be building a new church for us in California. He went down south and the project fell through and the church ended up being in a tent. :smh: And this years after he left I was already in my mid twenties when I heard this. :smh: Dude just decimated a whole church community that had followed him for generations. My mom had been going to his church since she was 18. My mom was like that's between him and God, I gave from the heart for God. It pissed me off tho because it was betrayal.

Truth.

It's just a straight up hustle in my eyes. I know some pastors mean well ( I have one in my family) but at the end of the day, I still believe the system of religion is a tool that's handicapped us from the moment they invaded Africa and put us on them ships.

this.

and you bet not ask them why they got a white man jesus picture on the wall.

they'll question you for questioning how he looks. :smh::smh::smh:

fucked up part is that i went to a private catholic (98% white) high school and they taught us that the pope prays to a BLACK madonna. at my mom's church jesus and everybody else caucasian looking.

shit is pitiful. :smh::smh::smh:

The fuck you talking about, the black churches are the ones that do the most for their communities

A woman I know worked at the church and has been. Member of her whole life, part time running the nursery on Sundays. She needed help with her mortgage and asked the church for an advance and they said no. So don't give me churches doing a this good for their communities nonsense.

There is nothing wrong with a pastor making a lot of money. Do yall really expect a pastor who brings in millions for his church to live off $50k a year? Pastors have the right to use as much of the money they want as long as it doesn't affect the stability of the church. If a church brings in millions it's because of how effective the pastor is so they are paid accordingly.

If the pastor is truly a Godly man why doesn't he take some of that money to help the poor people in the church instead of but a Mercedes and a private jet?

Law 34

Be Royal in your Own Fashion: Act like a King to be treated like one

The way you carry yourself will often determine how you are treated; In the long run, appearing vulgar or common will make people disrespect you. For a king respects himself and inspires the same sentiment in others. By acting regally and confident of your powers, you make yourself seem destined to wear a crown.

Law 37

Create Compelling Spectacles

Striking imagery and grand symbolic gestures create the aura of power – everyone responds to them. Stage spectacles for those around you, then full of arresting visuals and radiant symbols that heighten your presence. Dazzled by appearances, no one will notice what you are really doing.

It is, the faith has been exploited by crooks appealing to people's spiritual needs for years. What kills me is a lot of members know or suspect some treachery but because of their devotion and respect for a house of God they give anyway. That's the part that hurts.

I've had pastors in my family as well. It seems the ones who want to do right by the congregation and community never get the churches they need, but the ones who have selish intent do. :smh:

Scripture? You mean the book that was thrust upon us Black people after we were stolen from our land because WE were the heathens? Because WE needed to be saved?

Some cool stories in it. Some real lessons, but I don't put more stock into it than that. I believe in God because I have spoken with him - or rather he has spoken to me, but nah. I can't believe in that Holy book nonsense. Do you.

As far as tithe, I will give my time, but I will never give my money. Man can't be trusted with money.

I can only image the schools, hospitals, communities and businesses that could have flourished with that kind of money being properly spent in the Black community. Then I get angry and try to think about something else but it's not possible for a while.

Donations to the church are supposed to go back to the community. I swore off of church when I saw a Pastor get into a Porsche jeep outside the barbershop. All I could think was "blessed are the humble" and walked away. That was like 10 years ago. I'm not saying that a person who works hard shouldn't have nice things, but a fucking Porsche is not a humble decision unless you're a Shiek.

DL Hughley, in my opinion, said it best "Preachers, pimps, and politicians are all the same. Anyone who makes a living off of a person's hopes, dreams, and fears are really all the same guy."

Money is a mother fucker.
