This is not a bad idea at all, hell it shoul be 18 yr or older and nation-wide. Only question I have is how on Earth are they going to enforce this?

This ain't no different from those fascist "Moms for Liberty" banning/censoring what books children in Florida schools can read.
So; if a parent living in NYC sends his children to Florida to spend a summer with their grand parents, the children are now banned from social media when they arrive in FL? Or if a family chooses to go Disneyland or on a cruise sailing from FL?
Or how about YouTube, Instagram or TikTok sites dedicated to identifying sexual predators who prey on children or who hang out around malls and places children/teens hang out or when children are abducted or who go missing in FL?
What about active school shootings in which students NEED to communicate with their parents, with teachers, with law enforcement or each other while the shooter is still on school grounds? (Which, sadly WILL happen again. Especially in a red state like Florida).
- It's a parents job to monitor/censor/filter what info their child receives via cellphone/internet/entertainment.
- It's a parents job to monitor/filter/ban what internet sites their children have access to while the child is at home.
This is just more of Desantis stripping away peoples individual rights & social freedoms with his war on Black people, Black history, CRT, DEI, LGBTQ rights and education in general. Fuck him!!!

The average 14 year olds nowadays are more tech smart then most grownups. There is no legit way to enforce this and even if they try the will find away to get around it. This is a too little to late thing, just like their book ban just made those same kids they claim they are protecting will go hunt for that same book online.

Sites are not going to want to be responsible for the safe keeping of personal info and adults are not going to want to hand their personal info over and have their social media traceable. I predict sites pull a porn hub and block everyone with a Florida IP.
