One of my favorite mixed martial artists of all-time. He's competed against many of the world's best internationally, and is easily one of the most exciting athletes in the sport (especially years ago in his prime). Very quick and inventine with his moves. I often have to remind myself that in many of the tournaments he('s) competed in ... he was going against much heavier opponents (considering he's 183lbs or so, and many of the guys listed often were able to compete in the light-heavy and heavyweight divisions in other organizations ... anywhere from 205 - 225lbs +). Kazushi Sakuraba (Japanese: 桜庭和志, Sakuraba Kazushi, born July 14, 1969 in present-day Katagami, Akita, Japan) is a Japanese professional mixed martial arts competitor. He has competed for New Japan Pro Wrestling, UWFi, Kingdom Pro Wrestling, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Pride Fighting Championships, K-1 Hero's and Dream. He has the distinction of competing in the longest mixed martial arts bout on record, having beaten Royce Gracie in a 90-minute bout in 2000.

In Japan, he is known as "The IQ Wrestler", for his brilliance in the arts of catch wrestling and freestyle wrestling, as well as for his overall cerebral approach to fighting. He is also known as "Saku", which is frequently represented by the number "39" (the Japanese pronunciation of 3 being "san" and 9 "ku"). Sakuraba is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial arts fighters of all time. And not just the greatest fighter by a little bit, but by such a wide margin that his skill level may never actually be met by another competitor for generations, if ever."[2]

Yes ... K-1 is excellent. I need to get more into it ... and same with BELLATOR ... they've been putting out quality content in recent memory as well.

I Love K-1 too , it would probably catch on if one of the networks took a chance on it - like SPIKE did with the UFC

I'd rather watch K-1 than watch Worlds Strongest Man on ESPN

No doubt, bro.

We need more MMA on tv. I'm glad that Spike/Rogers Sportsnet/The Score/TSN and TSN2 have taken chances with the UFC/STRIKEFORCE/WEC.

I wanna see K-1, Bellator and others represented as well.
