Whether it be in a boatyard, someone's backyard, on CBS exploding James Thompson's ear or in an arena on a UFC PPV, Kimbo Slice has enraptured us with the mystique of his fists for years. That mystique continued last night in Springfield, Missouri where Kimbo took on Brian Green in his fourth pro boxing match. It was the fight with the weigh ins at Wal-Mart, and it turned into a memorable brawl that no one saw coming. After getting Brian Green's gloves poured on his beard leaving him dazed multiple times, Kimbo went into the fourth round behind on the scorecards. With 3 seconds left, Kimbo landed the unbelievably videogame-esque Hail Mary uppercut KO and further cemented his place as one of combat sports' most mesmerizing characters.

Thanks to Chris Gregory (in MiddleEasy tee and all) for the video.

Hot off the presses...

MMA Weekly: Alistair Overeem Tests Positive at Surprise UFC 146 Press Conference Drug Screen
http://www.mmaweekly.com/alistair-overeem-tests-positive-at-surprise-ufc-146-press-conference-drug-screen
:eek::eek::eek:

I had suspected Overeem was on the juice but call it bad timing. I thought Overeem worked the cycles as far as juice for weeks and come off of it before fight time. He's too big too fast to be legal.:smh:

Damn I was really looking forward to this fight. :smh::smh:

They were bound to catch dude sooner or later. They been randomly testing his ass forever:rolleyes:

one quick question.....

How do I block those damn ads on firstrowsports? I have comcast and they don't have fuel tv so I can't watch the UFC on Fuel today. Firstrowsports is spyware city. I currently have admuncher and nortons internet security.
I also have windows 7.
:please:

nobody is beating Jones :smh:...Evans was in Survival Mode throughout the fight...I thought Rashad should have went for more takedowns...he has some of the best TD's in the sport....

Torres is washed up...Schaub has no chin & falls in love with his power way too much...

time to give Rory some better opposition....he is the future GSP

Well said, bro.

Even when JONES is a bit more hesitant than normal, he's still TOP 3 IN THE WORLD.

We need to see SILVA-SONNEN II soon. Should be fun.

Looking forward to GSP's return in late-2012 or sometime-2013.

RORY is reppin' the westcoast well. So humble and skilled. Just wish he had more of a personality. He's about as monotone as they come. He'll have to develop a bit of something once the stars are really shining bright on him in the next year or two.

TORRES is one of my fave fighters of all-time. He's no longer the same wild, fun & reckless guy he was in the WEC years ago. I miss the old Torres. BENAVIDEZ owned him. BOWLES came back and KO'd him. He's had a few decisions, and Michael McDonald OWNED him.

Torres was good when aggresive once he lost that aggression he is a punching bag out there :smh:

I heard they may postpone Sonnen Vs Silva II probably 'til July because of safety reasons with the fight being in Brazil :smh::hmm:

C/S about Jones he does seem a bit hesitant than usual maybe because his opponents have studied him well or they are just getting better...who knows but he seem hesitant to pull the trigger against Evans....Evans was doing a good job keeping Jones honest tho...

I jsut don't understand why Evans didn't try more Takedowns...he is great at mixing up his strikes for an explosive double leg thats almost Sonnen type unstoppable to defend...he didn't even make an effort to make Jones work off his back...Weird

Yeah - props to Torres on becoming more disciplined with ZAHABI and the cats over at Tri-Star, but he's lost what made him great in the past. That wild and reckless abandon. Throwing caution to the wind. Now he's got that jab and the hunched-up shoulders. I find him boring to watch, say to say. True - Evans did keeps Jones honest on Saturday. I think he was respectful of Jones' talent though ... didn't want to get caught RUSHING in for a single- or double-leg and ending up on a highlight reel like he did when MACHIDA stanky-legged him a few years ago and took his strap. Silva-Sonnen II might see a venue change and delay as there's talk about a government or international convention in Brazil there at that time. White noted that him and Sonnen were heading down to Brazil for a press conference though. We'll see.

Belcher Vs Phalres(sp?) was a great fight....great Jits from both of them....

Yeah - some good feedback from Duke Roufus on Mauro Ranallo's show on Monday, May 7th. Basically noted that ALAN went into the dragon's mouth when he fought on the ground with Rousimar. People underestimate Belcher's ground game. Also ... Roufus jokingly noted that years back BAS RUTTEN scoffed at the idea that ROUFUS SPORT there in Milwaukee would produce some of the bigger names in the game. Well ... fast forward a few years ...

- ANTHONY PETTIS is the last WEC 155lb champion before the merge, and looking to get himself a UFC title shot in the next year and change

- BEN ASKREN is the BELLATOR 155lb champion

- ALAN BELCHER's a few fights from a title shot at 185

- SERGIO PETTIS (Anthony Pettis' younger brother) is looking to get into the UFC within the next year or so given his impressive amateur career so far, and his youth

Yeah - they are durable muthafuckas. I need to stop picking AGAINST Diaz. 155lbs is clearly his proper weight class. He's had his ups and downs over the years at 155 and 170 after winning TUF 5 years ago. I fucked up by thinking he'd sort of lost a step after RORY MACDONALD rag-dolled him in Toronto back at UFC 129 in APRIL 2011. Tossing him around and shit ... suplexing. Whereas once NATE dropped back down to 155 ... shit ... he made Takanori Gomi look like a chump ... beat Donald Cerrone the fuck up ... and became the 1st guy to submit Jim Miller and made it look relatively easy. That boxing style they have (Diaz brothers) is deceptive (and very accurate once they're in close). Very tough, scrappy fighters. Very skilled (and loved how he got that sub' finish on Saturday).

For the fam' ... remember there's a card on television tomorrow evening (Tuesday, May 15th, 2012).
