UFC star Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was arrested today after fleeing from a car accident in California and charged with both hit and run as well as evading arrest, both felony charges. He was also charged with reckless driving.

Rampage was apparently chased by Costa Mesa police, weaving in and out of traffic, after being observed with a flat tire whilst talking on his cell phone. He apparently drove both on the wrong side of the road and on a sidewalk.

He is currently being held in a Newport Beach jail, awaiting bail.

Damn dude lost the title and got his ass arrested.

On the real though ... PREDICTIONS up in this muthafucka? I'm gonna put my support behind the following cats. I gotta rest up / attend a coworker's funeral (35yo - car crash - mother of 3 children) / hit up my boy's house for the PPV / work nightshift. Gonna be an interesting day.

PREDICTIONS:

Jon Fitch 170 vs. Georges St-Pierre 170 - I've gotta go with my Canadian brethren GSP. It's gonna be interesting though. How long will they be on their feet for? Fitch is the real deal. The man's got hands and feet. Could be a very tough test IF it goes a few rounds.

Heath Herring 250 vs. Brock Lesnar 265 - Really tough to say. Lesnar's overwhelming. I wanna see the Herring of old (Pride days). He hasn't impressed me too much the past year with the UFC. I do NOT know about this one. I guess I'll go with Brock.

Roger Huerta 155 vs. Kenny Florian 155 - I really hope this is an excellent battle like the early-December 2007 showdown Huerta had with Clay Guida. * I've also got alot of respect for Roger after reading about his childhood, and seeing him talk about it during the Countdown to UFC 87 show. Abused by his mother and stepmother. Abandoned by his mother/father/stepmother/left to fend for himself. High school wrestling coach was his solid male mentor during his teens. Adopted by his collegiate English teacher. He's had many obstacles in his young 25 or so years. This should be a great one. I think Huerta's got this one over Kenny. But you've gotta love Florian's confidence. "I finish fights" = a classic quote from 2007! Should be an excellent fight. I really hope it is NOT a quick finish. Let's see these superstars battle!

Demian Maia 185 vs. Jason MacDonald 185 - Maia's a tough muthafucka. But I've gotta go with my additional Canadian brethren, MacDonald. He's a talented dude. Long, lean and rangy. He reminds me a little bit of an older version of Dustin Hazelett (from Gurgel/Franklin's Cincinnati team).

Robert Emerson 155 vs. Manvel Gamburyan 155 - I've gotta go with Manvel the Anvil. Parisyan's little cousin is a tough muthafucka. Emerson's got some solid hands, but Gamburyan's a Tasmanian Devil reincarnate

Tamdan McCrory 170 vs. Luke Cummo 167 - I don't know much about McCrory. I am a big fan of Cummo's skills. He was a GREAT addition to his season of The Ultimate Fighter, and really gave winner Joe Stevenson a run for his money in the finale. Very tough, intelligent, zen-like fighter. Great approach to the sport.

Dan Evensen 244 vs. Cheick Kongo 235 - Kongo's always impressed me. Very solid fighter. He made CroCop look pretty damn average in their fight. Gonna go with Cheick here.

Andre Gusmao 205 vs. Jon Jones 205 - Unfamiliar with both of these dudes (hence: undercard status)

Steve Bruno 170 vs. Chris Wilson 170 - I'd say Wilson.

Ryan Thomas 170 vs. Ben Saunders 170 - Not too familiar with Thomas, but Saunders is a tough, elusively tall muthafucka. Good strikes and foot game. He was impressive on his season of the Ultimate Fighter. Can dish it out, and can take strikes pretty well too. Saunders.

It really should be an interesting evening.

I have a feeling that if FITCH stays very composed ... he could really pose a threat to Georges. He's quite good and multi-faceted, as GSP's noted.

Herring ... still tough to say. Hasn't really impressed any of us the past year and change.

Lesnar ... had his chump change win in another organization in the past. Got easily lulled in by Frank Mir in early-2008 (after delivering primarily hammer fists the first few minutes). We just don't know enough about his MMA game.

Florian ... he's really improved the past few years. A true MMA practitioner. Huerta's gonna be a helluva test for him.

Huerta ... props on his all-around game. Additional props if he is indeed tappin' Arianny Celeste's good holes.
