All I hear is that Obama cannot win the general election because whites will not vote for a Black man. Never mind what whites think. If every Back person got of their asses and examined the issues and voted for who they thought would represent their interests, they wouldn’t have time to worry about who whites are voting for. If whites aren’t going to vote for a Black man, there is nothing you can do to change their minds.

Come on Bro, you know better. Each of those statements are, in many instances, false.

It is false that Obama can win without white support;

It is false that whites will note vote for a Black man;

It is false that all we have to do is vote our issues - and not be concerned about how whites vote; and

It is false that there is nothing a Black candidate can do to increase white support.

It's not a matter of Blacks or any other racial group hating themselves. It's about change vs the status quo, human nature to be exact. Obama is asking people to question the social order, he's betting people want to change. The Clintons are betting change is the last thing people want, they believe people want the status quo, basically divison along economic, racial and social lines.
