Im not voting for Barack Obama

I think there are a lot of Dems who are pissed at Barack because he went back on so many campaign promises.
We are not out of Afghanastan, so he did not bring the troops home within 16 months like he said he would.
We do not have universal health care but he passed a law making it mandatory that in 2014 we HAVE to pay insurance companies. :smh:
I could go on but the point is that people are pissed. Now everybody likes to say "well, who are you gonna vote for, a republican?" but they leave out the other option. People just won't vote at all. I think Dems are more likely to not vote at all than they are to vote for another party and that may happen in this next election. Republicans vote in droves but right now their party is divided between outright racists (birthers/tea party) and old school conservatives. I think a lot of dems will just say "fuck it" and just not bother going to the poles, which can still hurt Barack if the tea party ends up picking a stupid candidate that most republicans see as radical.

Im not going to vote for Barack Obama because he is not black to me he is a half breed mutt you guys talkng about Obama like he is really black fuck Barack if you vote for his ass then your a house nigga who should be whipped like a dog because he is not going to help real blacks like me

Obama wont do shit for real blacks like me

What a clown like any other president is gonna give two shits about you man up and stop looking at your living president as a savior look at dead ones in your pocket you will be much better off:smh:

Obama wont be remembered for anything I know you coons dont like to read the truth about the guy you dick ride the most but you really need to read this link.

That's the Congressional Dems fault, they wrote the existing Healthcare bill. Also, they had a 60 Senator super majority and had the house. What did you want Obama to do?

Your logic is flawed although your overall point is right, any black person voting for obama because they think he will do something specifically to help black people are living in a dream world. His views on the issues are close to hillary's therefore voting for one is like voting for the other. Meanwhile candidates like Kucinich and Edwards, have been ignored because if elected they could make the kind of change that Black folks are looking for.

POINT ON!!! This is not a color issue with Obama, I'm opposed to his war mentality. He promised change, Libya was the last straw for me. This proved he was just another puppert representative for big business. Kucinich has balls, and has proven himself time and time again as a politician for the people.

It's sad Black people don't use critical analysis when examining the President. The main reason everyone should rethink their support is, his shameless support of keeping the people responsible for the Economy being fucked up involved in the his so called change.

Wall street fuck heads created the problem! Giving the Money to the bank, bad idea and our Barack continues with the same status quo. By appointing key Cabinet positions to the fuckers that started this shit makes him no different than the Presidents of the past. Find out what deregulation means and get back to this thread. Until we have a fearless leader stop the financial fucking of all the have nots in this country, save that blind support shit.

Cymbals are just that, part of a drum set they (Crash) to accent a point, (Ride) to maintain the status quo and (Sock) to lock you into feeling things are solid!

to get ANY politician to do ANYTHING you have to apply pressure... and alot of it.

pressure is what helps offset the money and other bullshit that influences policy.

i really dont think we the people have done that. i mean we're pretty deep into his 1st term and with all this technology we use (texts, facebook, twitter, foursquare, and all that social shit) we really havent done shit other than complain to one another.

the french threaten to burn the country down every few years it seems like. always some muthafuckas rioting and shit... theit government is scared of the power of the people. thats how you keep political power in check. over here... the people are scared of the govt so we usually get fucked over.

still... barack said "keep my feet to the fire" multiple times during the campaign. have we?

Barack is the same old same old.

I bought the rhetoric, but it happens. I was 19, voting for the first time, and caught up. Hes the same as everybody else though, and I wont vote again.

He did not say he would be out of Afghanistan in 16 months. I wish people were more informed.

He said he would send more troops to Afghanistan. He said he would cease combat in Iraq and has done so.

BTW the troops in Afghanistan are scheduled to begin coming home in July of this year

He asked public option and the Democratic senate didn't support it.

He did get the lifetime limit lifted . He did get the denial for pre existing conditions lifted as well as other improvements.

I don't have a problem with mandatory insurance because without it I have to pay for the uninsured going to the emergency room like its their primary doctor. If they can mandate car insurance there isn't a difference.

Most of the mandates are for employers but also to provide affordable insurance to those who have jobs that don't provide it .Right now your choice is COBRA and it is about 1200 a month for a family.

Also people with insurance tend to do preventive care and get things taken care of before it becomes the more expensive emergency.

Was the health-care bill everything Obama wanted? NO Was it everything the progressives wanted ? NO Is it an improvement over what was there? YES Does it provide some important changes? Yes. Has anybody ever been able to get this much done? NO....It is something that is in place and can be improved on.

The republicans have screamed about this bill all along and the funny thing is Mitt Romney passed almost an identical bill for the State of Mass while he was governor.

if you voted cause you got caught up in the event at 19 you are showing your lack of intelligence. You didn't vote based on information you voted based on what others were doing and the excitement of the event.

Sounds like a candidate to get caught up in a mob action..

I doubt you have done any more in depth research at 21 and are probably disappointed because others are and made a sound bite or you tube video .

Did you vote for the second time during the mid terms? or did you not realize how important they were since it was not an event ?

People are complaining that Obama hasn't done enough for education which should be important to you at 21.

Do you see where the republicans that have the new control in the house and in many states are targeting their cuts ? education and some of that is possible because so many uninformed and disinterested and disappointed stayed home.

Stayed home and let a proven cat like Feingold lose and now want to protest Walker..

If people wanted Obama to achieve what he wanted to achieve they would have voted out the blue dogs, and voted in more progressives because Obama can't pass shit it's the house and senate. He needed more support not less.

There's that Limbaugh logic :smh: If that silly argument were true, Micheal Steele would have 90% of the black vote for his US senate run. Alan Keyes would would have 90% of the black vote during the 2004 senate race and 2008 primaries. After all they're black candidates right?

You clearly overlooked my entire statement, where I outlined what made Barack different from idiots you named. :smh:

Bullshit. He said on Meet The Press that within 16 months of his term we would be down to only mandatory/necessary personnel in Iraq. You apologist ass niggas brown nose so tough you twist his own words. HE SAID THIS AND ITS EASY TO FIND, SO GO HEAR HIM FOR YOURSELF.

On the Health care issue, he DID NOT do the best that he could have on pushing it. If Bush wanted it pushed through, he would have threatened to veto every damn thing until it went through. Even though that may not be Obama's "style", the point is that it could have been done if he pressed it. Just because his shit is a LITTLE better that doesn't mean the shit doesn't still suck. We are the last major nation without a single-payer system or some variation of it and the only reason that is the case is because insurance companies have almost as many lobbyists in Washington as oil companies do. When you're #37 in health care in the world, even behind some third world countries, you can't talk about how well your system works, so miss me with that bullshit and those talking points, dude. Its worth it to pay more taxes to be able to go to the doctor whenever you need to without question. Capitalism does not belong in health care but dumb ass Americans believe in putting a price tag on everything. If you don't have your health, you don't have shit but Americans put everything else before their health so this is what happens when you do. You have to have car insurance but you don't have to have a car. You HAVE to have your health.

I'm not anti-Obama. I voted for him. That said, as I posted earlier, there will be a lot of Dems who will sit the next election out because of some of the shit he has done.
Before he got elected, I said I only had three requirements of him as President and I'd be cool with him:
Show up and be black
Bring the troops home
Get us universal health care
So far he has only done one of those things. Extending that fucked up ass Patriot Act, wasting our money bombing Libya (while supporting the Yemen dictator) and the miranda rights rollback isn't exactly winning him any points as a democrat, either.

No, I don't expect him to be perfect BUT can he do a better job than what he's been doing?
Yes, he can.

A lot of dems will sit out the 2012 elections because of some of his actions (or lack thereof) and trying to dismiss everyone's frustrations with him as whining is idiotic. I just hope he does SOMETHING to make up for some of this shit, especially the pandering to corporate America.

I doubt my Brain was even fully developed at 19, so you can question my intelligence. I could give a fuck about education now, I am finished with my BA in a month and after that any further I go will not be at an American school.

I dont agree with this Libya thing....Obama has no right to interfere in the affairs of Africans. This isnt any better than when the USA and Belgium went in and killed the great Patrice lumumba. This arrogance he displayed during that made me realize that he is of the same white elite thinking as everybody else. No matter who you vote for it will always be the same because the system is set up that way. A black face on white imperialism is still white imperialism man:smh::smh::smh:

In fact in no way is voting even worth the time. While you at the poll you can be using that time to stack paper, and then everybody in office will take you serious:yes:

Nope. Too busy complaining on porn boards and calling radio shows but not actually doing anything even as simple as sending emails to their congressional rep.

Obama's plan calls for as many as 4,000 more US troops who would train and advise the Afghan military, plus several hundred civilian advisers to build up the Afghan government and assist it in extending its authority. The reinforcements, he said, are needed to control the resurgent Taliban and to ensure that Al Qaeda does not have safe havens from which to plan and execute terrorist attacks.

The goal of the training is to build an Afghan army of 134,000 and a police force of 82,000 by 2011.
Obama also backed $1.5 billion a year in direct aid to Pakistan, and called for more action by Pakistan to root out terrorists. He also called for enhanced diplomacy and cooperation among Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the United States.

While not setting a timetable or exit strategy, the president said there will be clear benchmarks to measure progress, and a requirement that the Afghan government deal with corruption.

"Going forward, we will not blindly stay the course. Instead, we will set clear metrics to measure progress and hold ourselves accountable," he said. "We’ll consistently assess our efforts to train Afghan Security Forces, and our progress in combating insurgents. We will measure the growth of Afghanistan’s economy, and its illicit narcotics production. And we will review whether we are using the right tools and tactics to make progress towards accomplishing our goals."

He's always been flexible on certain things and always said he would let the progress on the ground determine his moves.

On the Health care issue, he DID NOT do the best that he could have on pushing it. If Bush wanted it pushed through, he would have threatened to veto every damn thing until it went through. While what you said about Bush isn't true, I don't think Obama did all he could in the health care debate but not in a policy sense. He could have and should have campaigned for it in states he won where the Senator was opposing the public option, such as Joe Lieberman in Connecticut.
But he never campaigned on single payer and never promised single payer or true universal health care.
The idea that the reforms make things "a little better" underestimates what Obama accomplished. He got done a goal of Democrats and some Republicans for 40+ yrs. Now is when citizens should be supporting it, loudly, and urging for whatever improvements they want. Social Security was started one way and was amended. This can be the same way.

In fact in no way is voting even worth the time. While you at the poll you can be using that time to stack paper, and then everybody in office will take you serious:yes:

The people who vote the least, the young and minorities, have thet least power while those that vote the most, the affluent and the elderly, have the most. Do you think that's a coincidence?

Campaign rhetoric met reality.

They did not have the super majority. They had 60 votes possible with Lieberman as an independent but when Kennedy dies and the republican took the Mass seat .They couldn't get 60 without republican support.

But you are right the blue dogs fucked it up when they had a chance at the public option.

Think about all the people who are very naive, and speak loudly, but shallowly about things. When you sit and assess the substance of what they are saying, then you realise that their energetic militancy does not arise out of an abundance of knowledge, but rather out of some sort of unresolved agitation. In this group, I add Charles Barkley, and I also add Barak Obama. It is very evident that while he is a clever person, Obama is either very uninformed or very misinformed. On just about every issue, he and (us) reach very different conclusions. We continue to forgive him because he is somewhat black like us, and is in the most powerful position in the world. Therefore we must support him because we have not ever had, and might never have, so much power. But do we have that power? Barak Obama is hostile to Africans, and on the balance has not been much better to Black Americans. On the other hand, he has and continues to grovel at cac-dom and the right, to the point, sometimes, where it is unexpected and surprising even to them.

Is it not time we call Obama on the bullshit? I am not sure what the motivation of King Terp is, but the fact that he could have such a strong statement about a black president, so far out from the early elections might indicate that buyer's remorse is pecolating in the masses, and Barak Hussein Obama had better hope it does not become a Tsunami by November 2012..

You left Africa in the first place why ?

You sound like a cat that got divorced and then spend every minute with a new woman talking about how great your ex wife was.

It's hard to explain that to a lot of people. It's like they don't understand politics or math.

Last elections? According to Obama himself, the Dems got shellacked. But the shellacking was more because the Democrats did not come out to vote. There was a thread that said that if Black people had voted, they would have stopped the GOP...

I cannot go anywhere I cannot find "Obama"; as we speak, he is stealing and killing in Libya. Everywhere else, he is only stealing, but should the people resist, he will start killing. The reason why many of us are here is because he has stolen everything from over there and brought over here.

Okay. I agree with this and I blame the voters for not voting, Obama and the Democrats for not putting up a stronger fight (political theatre counts). But I fail to see how that's a counter to what I said. This is an old thread started before Obama won office or was even the Democratic nominee. This was started as a troll post.

Really? He did all that in two years?
