Dominica is a country not a Race or a color. Black is a color that we used to signify ancestral heritage. A Black person can be from Brazil Haiti China etc. If i was in a foreign country I'll call myself an American to distinguish me from being from any other country. Race is defined from the skull, body structure/bones etc. And if you actually look at an Indian and a English, they look exactly the same, only the colour that is different. Which is why Indians and Persian (Iranian) people are also Caucasian. Most people recognise Nationality ahead of colour or ethnic origian Today though in most parts of the world. Like if I was to say seperate Ashly Cole, Steven Gerrard, Kaka and Robinho into 2 identity groups, most people would say English and Brazilian. There are no racial classifications in the west indies, (when I lived there). West Indian is a way better classification then BLACK. Tell anyone that you are West Indian they know exactly what you are talking about. Just like sometimes we say we are from the caribbean.
