I want to open a business in my city and a sneaker store was one of my top ideas.
Teens and young adults are so into their shoes - Jordans, Nikes, Converse, Adidas, Gucci, Timberlands, etc. so I want to open a store that has a WIDE variety of styles for the most popular brands of shoes out there.
But before I start constructing a business plan, getting grants and investors, and taking care of the paperwork, I need to know if I can get the products I need.
I need name-brand sneakers, a lot of styles, real shit too. I need a place I can get T-shirts. I'd like to sell some polos, particularly Ralph Lauren and Lacoste, shorts as well. Maybe even football and basketball jerseys.
Where can I get this stuff wholesale?
I know Nike has an retailer application on there website, but I hear you have to already be in business and selling around 100,000 a year in shoes, or something to that nature. Whether it's true or not, I'd like to have a back-up plan, and hopefully something that won't have them suing me and shit. I tried to find a similar application on the other shoe company's websites but no luck.
