Im Calling it... Batman: Arkham Knight... GOTY

witcher looks and plays good... a little glitchy at times but batman wins on popularity alone... i knew nothing of the witcher series i just checked it out cuz it looked decent....
 
Man look... This shit is fie!

I'm cracking the surface of it and I'm getting my groove back. I'm maybe 4 to 6 percent in and all my old Batman moves are coming back slowly. The game does a great job feeding you the abilities little by little, then immediately giving you the opportunity to test them out.

The batmobile is just AMAZING. It takes some getting used to, driving wise, but damn once you do :itsawrap: the way it transitions from driving to combat mode.... Wow..... And that car combo? First time I did it I had to pause and put the sticks down.

And it is FUCKIN BEAUTIFUL...

Waiting until the holidays to get it with the season pass for cheap but Fallout will be my GOTY.
 
PC guys are going in on this game. Maybe Rocksteady should've spent more time fixing the PC version, instead of taking content out of the game for DLC & retailer exclusive preorder content. :smh:

How good at you are prioritizing your game play?

TBH this is the PERFECT time to own this game because there aren't any major releases coming for the next couple of months. You can really dig into the game now without having to worry about missing out on another title.

I'm gettin' my flow of it back too. I'm 12% working in some of da Gotham's most wanted cases & finna start on riddles/riddler trophies. This shit goes super hard. And once getting used to da batmobile :itsawrap:

Did u look for/find those firemen for officer cash/commissioner Gordon?

I did the first part of it, then spent the next 2 hours looking for the rest of them. Gave up and continued the main mission. Fuck them firemen :hmm:

Destiny had me backed up already so I have tons to play. I don't even have Witcher yet. Waiting for that as well.

the riddler missions are pretty cool and you get 2 upgrade points per key... im sitting on 25 havent upgraded yet....

I had line 12 or so points and upgraded what I could.

I found a map location of all 17 firefighters, so I might do that tonight and get my Batman on.... Fighting crime, kicking ass, running over mufuccas in the batmobile...

I only got up to the part where you start using the Batmobile.

I didn't want to dig into it any deeper until the weekend so I don't end up staying up all night, but damn it, I just might go for it.

Batman: Arkham Knight is a great game — as detailed in our 10/10 review — but it's got one really puzzling design decision: Rather than using the left trigger to cause the Batmobile to brake, it's monopolized by the car's tank form. And we do mean monopolized: You have to hold it down the entire time you're in Battle Mode, which is cramp-inducing and just plain weird.

That is, unless you hop into the game's settings menu and opt in to the Battle Mode Toggle. This one change moves braking to the left trigger (as God intended) and makes Battle Mode something you activate with R1/RB. One weird thing: You can't activate the toggle until after your first visit to GCPD, but you should switch it instantly after.

I played for like 20 minutes. Like 15 minutes main story, and 5 minutes playing Harley... It looks nice. Easily the best graphics Ive seen on the PS4. The world was huge, and it has some nice "cool" things. Like the Batmobile, the hologram in the Bat-com etc... Now Ive only played 20 minutes so take that for what its worth, and saw some guys playing on the share joint... But its very much the same game as the other 3. Im sorry but nothing Ive seen makes this GOTY over The Witcher. NOTHING!!! And I like the Arkham series, but lets be honest. These games are very good-great for about 1/2 a play through and it get kinda stale. Fan-boys are going to make it a closer battle than it should be, but its just a nice next gen version of what weve already been playing, nothing earth moving.

give it a little more time u might change your mind.... i can understand where you coming from though....i need to give witcher a chance cuz some die hard witcher fans in here...

Agreed on the previous Batman games getting stale after a while, before you're even technically done. This new game has Riddler challenges just like the previous three. Change it up already.

Yea I got like 3 keys left to (spoiler) but I can't get across to the third island... tried to on foot but those tanks murdered me:lol:

Trying to do most of the side missions now to upgrade my stuff, sooooooo many things to do...

I got about 6 of 'em. Them tanks be eatin' my ass up. I'm taking out checkpoints and radio towers as well as tracking da Man Bat and whoever da serial killer is by looking for those bodies.
