I'll be stepping away from a few days, Traveling to Trinidad, anyone have insight?(just got back WOW

Funny people from the north be saying the south is boring, but I don't know up North is too restricted, too many bars on the windows and big ass gates.. My people got money and live in big ass houses, but to me they look like prisons.. In the South everybody knows each other and my brother in law, my closet friend owns a bar by the beach, plus everyone knows each other, so once your in the clique your like family..
Up North to me is more like Brooklyn its cool as long as you stay in your lane..

So true!
We call that "country life" it's very laid back and relaxed. But your familiar with the place unlike them and you rather relax and have a few in the bars. In the country areas by 10pm for the latest the place is like a ghost town and the lime will be by someone house most of the timeAfter.

But if they wanna see the country and have a time with night life Port Of Spain is the place and then Tobago.....

Oh yeah as he said earlier NO CAMO it's illegal

Point Fortin????
Whoa that's far from Everything.

That's the south western side of the island is kinda boring, ain't to far from Venezuela by boat. I thought you was staying more in the North where there are a lot more action in the week and on weekends.

Just don't be to flashy, keep to yourself and you will have a good time.

Puncheon Rum is called speak the truth! Try a shot!

If you can stay in Port of Spain for a few days that will be good. On hotels.com you can find some deals on the north of the island and the east west corridor. It's also much easier to access the beaches like maracas bay and las cuevas. I recommend las cuevas, over maracas bay since the government was doing some improvement work and stopped so your not seeing the beauty of the beach. But stop in maracas bay and have the bake and shark.

If your in the Port of Spain area you will have access to Arapita Avenue or better known by the locals "the avenue" which is basically a street filled with bars and restaurants and people hang out daily. some of the popular spots are:

Aria, Roscoos, Frankies, coco lounge and smokey and bunty.

Also there is movietowne where there are different restaurants and minute shopping.

Then there are the malls like long circular mall and west mall

If you guys are into "boat rides" / "party cruise" which there are several every weekend on different times of the day. there are breakfast cruises, day cruises down the islands where you go to the little islands off the tip of north western side of the island and party on one of the little islands, then there are cooler cruises, you can attend any one you choose.

After a few days of this then i recommend you go Tobago via boat or via plane $50 USD but make sure and book in advance. Flights go almost every hour back and forth but they are always full.

In Tobago you can stay in the crown point area. Where everything is walking distance and most of the tourist congregate. You have the option of a guest house, tourist apartments, villas or hotel rooms. There u have access to the popular beaches and from
There u can go jet skiing, snorkeling, wind surfing or ride a glass bottom boat to see the DEAD coral Or go out to the middle of the ocean and bathe in the Nylon Pool where the water reach you waist height.

Once again IF your staying in Point Fortin your robbing yourself if your coming to "lime" or "palance". If you wanna relax and not be part of the REAL action stay in Point Fortin. If you want your eyes pop out your head seeing woman and have a good time stay in the north for a few days and then go Tobago to relax b4 u head back home.

Also don't think u can stay Point Fortin and drive to the action everyday because it's like an hour drive to go and come back another hour and that's if there is no traffic. Don't think of hiring a taxi because they will kill u with the fares.

I recommend A Few days in Point Fortin, the around Thursday come to Port of Spain stay in a hotel and Monday leave for Tobago for a few days.

Anyway any questions or help u may need further let me.

Thanks for the very detailed guide.
They did say the location is quite aways from everything, that's what they wanted.
Two hrs will get us to that our destination

Nigga for your own good, do not, I repeat do not fuck with that puncheon rum. I swear that shit could power a fucking jet.

I could handle my hooch, but the first and last time my coolie bruh by another mother was hitting it he offered me. Bad idea.

About 6 hrs later I woke up in a hammock with the remnants of a chicken leg in my mouth and ants running wild on ma face.

Never in my fucking life again. :smh:

I live in Arima. I can show you around. A couple of big festivals are happening this month. Many things to see. I can take you to an outlet mall many wholesalers import from.

Outlet malls?
Please don't give him or them an impression of things which ain't here! We have NO outlet malls, we have shopping malls where most of the goods are imported from the US, China or Panama.

Also here is an official idea what's happening in the months to end the year. Other than that a few party events, as I said earlier which is normally on the weekends.

That's not true.
Any online calculator will show you the bank rate.

Hotels give you a lower rate on your currency....
Cambio and financial institutions give you the average world rate.....
Casinos, stores, groceries give you the average of $1 USD = $7 TTD

Don't tender it for goods, most people find it strange you will use USD to pay for items so you go through stress of them overly verifying if it's counterfeit or real, the owner welcomes it, but the employees are the ones who will keep checking it because if they receive counterfeit they take it from their salaries.

Use your credit card, most places accept visa or master card. Make sure and ask first if they accept CREDIT CARDS, because we have a local system here called linx and a lot of merchants have it but they only accept local bank ATM cards because if they accept credit cards they have to pay a fee of 3.5% and that cuts into there profits. Also be careful sometimes your card can be "scan" and be duplicated by scrupulous employees of restaurants and bars so watch your card and don't let it leave your eyesight. They are mandated to do it in that manner by management and banks.

Any upadte on your experince and are you coming for Carnival this year?
