If Egyptians knew anything of god, they wouldn't have had 40-year lifespans(same with the rest of the ancient world).
As for the original question, wouldn't being a god mean you know all the possible outcomes beforehand and have the supreme knowledge on how to deal with them? If so, there is no changing......

Number one, time is not constant, for example do you think a turtle that lives to be 120 has a more fuller life than a fly that lives to be a few weeks? If so you may be looking at life from the point of view of only the physical.. But what if each form of life has equal importance, well thats a foreign concept to most, but to put it in the concept of the original question, sure americans live longer but how much of that is actually living? We spend 90% of our time either working or going to school, or doing mindless things for entertainment.. Now if you consider living vicariously via the boob tube or the other mindless things we do living, then you have a valid point..
But if there is a more spiritually up lifting side to life that we are missing out, and just like the blind is unable to understand color, we are unable to understand their spiritual lives, then this puts a wrinkle to your concept of things..
I don't know these answers,l but I do know, many of the egyptians lived on a much higher spiritual plane, and through this they were able to do things many experts would call impossible..
As for your comment on god, well I think your concept of what god may or may not be, is somewhat tinted by western values..
You are missing the point completely. Egyptians -- and the rest of the ancient world -- couldn't even make childbirth and childhood safe. The infant mortality rate of humans up until the 20th century was fucking pathetic. And for the most part, ancient people couldn't even keep teeth in their mouth. A splinter was a serious incident.
And you think any ancient humans knew about god(if a god exists)? If they had such deep knowledge, they would have at least been capable of protecting their future: Their children.
And my concept of god isn't influenced by the west. It's influenced by reading and knowing humans all around the world created a god concept to deal with death and the unknown. Humans are arrogant creatures.

One thing the west does well is procreate and consume, but then again so does viruses.. We are so good at it that we wind up killing ourselves, and babies because there ain't enough shit to go around, or rather because they refuse to share.. First off, I fully accept that this system we live in is beyond my understanding, so I refrain from saying what I would do as God because that's just silly. We can understand the "how" of the universe but we simply don't understand the "why" of the universe. That is why I remain humble.
With that said, if I could make a mass decision for the world, it would be for everybody to smoke some weed and take some shrooms.
