if these 3 teams had to contract to form 1 franchise, what would your 15 man roster be? and how many games do you think you would win?

here are the available personnel:

Andris Biedrins
Brandon Rush
Channing Frye
Charles Jenkins
Chris Wright
Chuck Hayes
David Lee
DeMarcus Cousins
Dominic McGuire
Donte Greene
Dorell Wright
Ekpe Udoh
Francisco Garcia
Grant Hill
Hakim Warrick
Hassan Whiteside
Isaiah Thomas
J.J. Hickson
Jared Dudley
Jason Thompson
Jeremy Tyler
Jimmer Fredette
John Salmons
Josh Childress
Klay Thompson
Kwame Brown
Marcin Gortat
Marcus Thornton
Markieff Morris
Michael Redd
Monta Ellis
Nate Robinson
Robin Lopez
Ronnie Price
Sebastian Telfair
Shannon Brown
Stephen Curry
Steve Nash
Travis Outlaw
Tyler Honeycutt
Tyreke Evans

here are my 15, but it wouldn't be fiscally sound due to the $58M salary cap:

Chuck Hayes
Andris Biedrins
Channing Frye
David Lee
Donte Greene
Hakim Warrick
John Salmons
Marcin Gortat
Marcus Thornton
Monta Ellis
Nate Robinson
Robin Lopez
Steve Nash
Travis Outlaw
Tyreke Evans

i'd be over the cap by approximately $35.6M

so here is the revised 15 which would be salary cap friendly, with payroll not exceeding $59M

Channing Frye
Chuck Hayes
DeMarcus Cousins
Donte Greene
Dorell Wright
Hakim Warrick
J.J. Hickson
Jared Dudley
Marcin Gortat
Marcus Thornton
Nate Robinson
Robin Lopez
Stephen Curry
Travis Outlaw
Tyreke Evans

this team would win 45 games and make the playoffs.

Now my question regarding this is who would you get to coach this team and what kind of system would you have them to run?

maybe coach (jeff) van gundy, coach fratello or coach mchale.

because with that lineup the only way they win is to reduce possessions and slow down the game, running only on opportunity and turning over the other team.

Who'd be the starting 5 from this? Evans, Cousins, Frye, Curry, and Outlaw?

So what you are saying is this team would lack scoring punch and would have to become a possession oriented team.

partially. i'd also say that the team as comprised would have to focus on possessions, could be strong defensively, and would have to take high percentage shots.

i'd give this 5 the start, see how the backcourt managed the ball, and then make adjustments from there.

marcin gortat
chuck hayes
jared dudley
tyreke evans
marcus thornton

bench:

robin lopez
demarcus cousins
j.j. hickson
channing frye
donte greene
hakim warrick
dorell wright
travis outlaw
stephen curry
nate robinson

ekpe udoh got traded to the bucks, but we'll go with this squad.

you need a few more players to flesh out the practice squad. i would recommend 5 more.

money wise, you are in excellent position under the salary cap, as your current total is only $35.5M that gives you approximately $22.5M left.

finally, how many games do you think this team would win?

I think we'd break even at least. Maybe 45 wins and a 7th seed in the playoffs if things fall right
In the next 2 or 3 years we'd eventually challenge for at least the conference crown

to round out the practice squad I would take:

Brandon Rush - SF/SG
Dominic McGuire - PF/SF
Tyler Honeycutt - PG (saw him play for the first time tonight)
J.J. Hickson - PF/C
Josh Childress - SF

no old vets...I don't need nobody sulking at the end of my bench. These guys will all eventually get a little playing time but not much

excellent. your total salary is approximately $49M (or about $2M more than the real life sacramento kings).

the 3 teams with the lowest total salaries are toronto, sacramento, and detroit.

their records are 15-30, 16-29, and 16-29 respectively.

the next 2 lowest salaries belong to memphis and utah (both hovering around $50M payroll), and both have winning records.

Damn, my guy better grow up fast or we'll be in the lottery
I think for my coach I would seek out somebody of whom the NBA doesn't approve.
I can see Coach Kareem Abdul Jabbar hovering over the huddles. Or perhaps Coach Kenny Smith

My next choice would be Terry Porter
