If Manning & Brady = Magic & Bird of NFL, who will be the NFL Michael Jordan?

Based on skill. Kinda like my personal Madden rating: arm strength, accuracy, etc. Championships are important but not the end all imo especially in a team sport. I hypothetically put each player on a team where all their team mates and opponents were equally matched robots, and I think Marino and Manning are the most skilled qbs. The perfect example is Wilt and Russell. Yea Russell has 11 and even beat Wilt head up a few times, but there is no doubt in my mind Wilt is a better baller.

What "skill" did Aikman have that Brady doesn't (including winning ability)???

Don't insult LeBron. If there was ever a player that was capable of taking the GOAT crown from Jordan it's Lebron.

My point was that the premise of this thread is an insult to Magic and Bird. Those two were revolutionaries in basketball history. Brady and Manning are simply two of the most successful quarterbacks of this generation but there's no indication at all that they have brought anything new to the evolution of the sport that any future QB would build upon.

There are many who would say the GOAT came before Jordan-- such as Magic, for instance... You can argue Peyton Manning will be the best ever, you can argue LeBron will be the best ever but those are extremely premature arguments-- nobody would have said such about Manning before his current success and neither has the body of work as it stands to make a strong GOAT candidate-- and it's a stretch to compare them to historic contributors like Magic and Bird.

Bryant and Brady are guys who have worked their names into the GOAT discussion but such discussions are so slanted with active players... Bryant's stock has risen like Microsoft in the early days in just the past year as Manning has suddenly gained additional unquestionable credibility, but it was Brady who was the hot possible GOAT heading into the Superbowl two years ago. If Manning loses tomorrow and the Patriots make it back next year, Brady will crush Manning. James may never equal Bryant in terms of basketball accomplishments. Manning and Brady to James and Bryant is a much more useful analogy IMO.
