BOOM. This is the only welfare that boggles my fucking mind. For instance; Why do oil companies who post quarterly profits that exceed the gdp of multiple nations combined need tax-payer subsidies? Why are US companies allowed to keep their money offshore only to repatriate it during "tax holidays" organized by their bought politicians. Why give tax breaks to companies that are only creating jobs overseas? Etc etc.... shit is baffling.

Welfare is needed but there needs to definitely be a waning off period (with real exception). A check on the progress of those on it to make sure they are doing wants needed to get off it.

Economic hardships don't make people family plan, I'd even argue that it does the opposite. If we'd be moving back towards an agrarian or sweatshop economy, we'd probably see a spike in population. Birth control only works if you can afford it and if there is no social safety net muhfuggas gonna be worrying about eating, not condoms and pills. Birth control would go back to being a luxury of the rich.

The one who decided to have the kid has to try to make ends meet for herself and a child. If she does find a good job, she isn't going to qualify for welfare and a big chunk of change goes to childcare and other things. The man is going to be put in the system and the state is going to hit his pockets.
