"I'd Beat Lebron 1 On 1" -Kobe

Not to mention, Kobe is almost ALWAYS Injured when they go against each other (FACT)... So Lebron Should score more 100% of the time... but thats not the case.... and you are Wrong, Kobe usually scores MORE than Lebron.. Kobes career averages against him are skewed because a couple of times he left the game early in the 1st quarter... like their 1st meeting, he scored only 2 points... fucking up his averages playing against Lebron.

But Like I said, Lebron ALWAYS gets abused 1 on 1 against Kobe. and Like I said, Lebrons teammates usually step up when they go against each other... So Kobe busting Lebron ass 1 on 1 when they are matched up is really irrelevant... its only relevant when you're talking about 1 on 1 specifically.

LBJ has NO chance against Kobe. Keep mind fucking yourself that he does...

If Kobe was 100% in all of his match-ups against dude, he'd have a couple 50 point games and the Lakers would have the much better record in the match-ups.

but I dont like hypotheticals... I only deal w/ shit that happens in reality.. and Reality is Kobe Owns Lebrons in 1 on 1.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Funny, its kool for Kobe to pull the injured card especially when he goes up against LeBron, yet during the playoffs when LeBron had to shoot a freethrow with his left hand, and not even drive hard to the right during the whole 2nd half vs Boston and his numbers declined dramatically the more he had to play, and yall dont see that.:smh:

The only way Kobe beating Lebron in a one on one is with a ref. In street ball Lebron would put Kobe on his ass.

Every thing I stated is FACT.

Its FACT that Kobe has been injured or Sick at least 75% of the time he played Lebron

and even in those instances, Kobe Owned him damn near every time they play 1 on 1....

In fact off the top, I cant recall Kobe EVER Missing a shot when Lebron is guarding him.

:lol::lol::lol:

Man please. Lebron would win. If Lebron got the ball first Kobe wouldnt see it. Kobe shoots alot of contested jump shots, every one of those isnt gonna fall. ...Those who think Kobe will win can I ask yall how exactly how is he going to stop Lebron? He cant stop lebron from getting to the basket. Lebron is biggeer and stronger, and shit faster to the hole. Kobe is more defensible for Lebron than Lebron is for Kobe.

I know he supposed to say that but that's BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WADE CHECK ALL THEM FOOLS ONE ON ONE.

I Swear Niggas Live in a Fantasy World.....

WADE LOCKED DOWN FOR A WHOLE HALF.

LORD KNOWS I CANT MAKE THIS SHIT UP...

THERES A REASON WHY WADE WENT TO KOBE LAST YEARS OFF SEASON TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY DEFENSE.

As I said Kobe makes a living playing the passing lanes anticipating the pass and trapping. The thing is, if he times it right, it usually means a fast break the other way, but when he fucks up and mistime it, usually someone else gets plastered because he is usually out the frame by then. I ought to know because I used to do the same thing on defense when I used to ball.

The first 15 seconds of the video didn't have SHIT to do with playing the passing lanes!?!?! Man up defense Fam!!! Rip City!!! :lol::lol:

KOBE>>>LEBRON
BUT OVERALL THO, KOBE IS KING:cool:
HIS PRECISE SHOOTING IS :eek:, his game has definitely elevated being under Phil Jackson
:yes::yes::yes:

The first 15 secs Wade tried to split the double team. With out talent around him the Lakers were allowed to collapse on Wade, double up on him and cheat with the passing lanes. Too bad those days are over, because if you try that now, James and Bosh is going to make them pay.

I don't think you can say definitively that one will always beat the other, but at the same time you can't just say all Lebron has to do is back down Kobe to win.

To start Lebron doesn't have the footwork to use a real post game, you can't just back someone down so easily one on one, because Kobe could make lebron pick up his dribble.

Also, Lebron is a better full court fast break player who can score very easily in the open court. But when he's forced to play half court and on the perimeter he can be rattled.

Just like Kobe said, Lebron is much more of a set up the pass player than he is. Don't forget Kobe came up beating NBAers 1 on 1 as a 16 year old. Meanwhile Lebron gained his fame from his Magic like court vision. I think 3 on 3 the team with Lebron wins more often than not. 1 on 1 Kobe wins more often than not.

Also, Kobe has the better back to the basket game.

I agree with that for the most part, however must ad if it is a short game 14 point match going by 1's it would favor Kobe, but if the game is longer, it would favor James. Playing one on one takes so much energy, and for a small build guy like Kobe, a long grueling game will take away from that jumper, going against a bigger and much more physical James.

just want yall to think about this, kobe and lebron spent a summer together for US olympic team. How many times do you think they played 1 on 1? my guess is alot. Did you watch the video clip, kobe answered that shit confidently like not only do i think i would beat him but i know i can cause i waxed his all summer 2 summers ago, think about it

This thread is laughable...

1st, who expected Kobe to say otherwise, even if he couldn't? :confused:

2nd, I know Kobe is the most skilled player, but 1 on 1 isn't always about the most skill or talent, but how you use that skill when you have the hot hand. It's almost always about who has the hot hand at the moment.

3rd, Kobe has one of the worst shot selections in NBA history. Have you ever seen this negroes shooting percentage? Yes, he can knock down hard shots MORE consistently, but that's when he gets the hot hand. When he doesn't, he smart enough to get cheap points from the free throw line but that still hasn't prevented his team from losing games and taking HIMSELF out the game entirely.

4th, when I'm thinking 1 on 1, I'm thinking of rules of 1st to 12 or 16, 3 dribble minimum, and take back behind the key. Lets see, 3 dribble minimum Lebron kills this nigga in straight off the dribble shit because of his strength and quickness. Kobe kills Lebron if he stops his dribble and is crafty with the post-up moves he learned off of Hakeem. Consistent inside J goes to Lebron and the outside shot goes to Kobe. I don't know if people really watch Lebron but he makes tough shots too. They are both gifted players.

Like I said before, this shit is ridiculous to argue. It's not like one would kill the other ALWAYS..it's a toss up because of their various physical attributes and skills.

Although, get Lebron mad enough and you might convince that nigga to plow right through Kobe...:lol:

Kobe said he grew up playing one-on-one ... Who in America didn't grow up playing that way??

Secondly I've seen many one-on-one games (especially for money) where the strongest guy, not most skilled, won the game.

If there are no refs, I see Lebron bulldozing KB on his way to the basket like in the video below (10:20 mark):

OK here's my two cents since no one offered a penny for my thoughts...

One game to 15... Lebron wins 15-13. Kobe has the hops, but Lebron would muscle him down for some low post layups and dunks.

EITHER WAY IT WOULD SELL TWO MILLION ON PAY PER VIEW AT $29.95. Easily distancing that bullshit Kareem and the Doctor pulled a few years ago.

Kobe would jump out to a 9-3 lead, but will start to slow down and James would come back and wear him down. When I used to ball, I had speed and a outside shot, but playing one on one against a bigger guy would wear me out more than a full court game.

same shit I was gettin at on page 2

What do team accomplishments have to do with individual play? :confused:
:lol: It's all some people know.
this is my last post in this crazy ass thread

for one, in one on one basketball you take the ball from the top of the key

youre not posting up at the three point line

then, in 1 on 1, everyone drives to the rim

there is no way either player can guard eachother in that situation

lebron would just overpower kobe for simple layups

and kobes first step would blow by lebron everytime for a easy j or layup

as i stated before, it would be really boring to watch

I think it would be worth trying. 3-5 one-on-one match-ups would produce some interesting stuff in practice, especially well-chosen match-ups.
