I woke up laughing bout the time I walked out on my lunch break, handed my badge to the front desk girl and told her “Fuck this job. Here’s y’all badge and y’all can keep the got damn check!”
She slowly took the badge out my hand.
I happily walked to the car and called my pops.
Pops: What’s up bro?!
Me: What up pops! I quit my job!
Pops: You quit ya job as an engineer!?
Me: Yep walked right out hahaha
Pops: Wait! Aren’t you making $23 an hour?!
Me: WAS making $23 per hour! Hahaha
Pops: That’s good money for a 23 year old Reg. Okay so what you bout to do now?!
Me: I know but I hate that job. I’m bout to go be a telemarketer for a company called DialAmerica.
Pops: You mean them mufuckas that call people all day.
Me: Yep. But watch this…I’ll be making $7 a hour selling magazines and I can make UP TO $21 an hour and it helps the Special Olympics.
Pops: Mufucka did you say you can make UP TO $21 an hour…but now you making…
He took a deep breath.
Me: Yep that’s right. But I won’t be in no damn room by myself all day watching dudes walking around with equations and shit in they head. AAAAND I’m helping the Special Olympics.
Pops: Dude you don’t know shit bout the Special Olympics.
Me: I know. But hey.
Pops: You know what, this is prolly the dumbest shit I ever heard. But hey I guess you gotta find ya own way.
And that I did.
