The "sagging" trend started because of the hand me down clothes that big brothers used to give to little brothers to wear. So of course those clothes were way too big. And we being poor people we made the best out of it and turned it into fashion.

Inmates don't ever get released? They just leave prison and their prison mentality behind once they leave and come back into society? I doubt it.
I'm sure there's some truth to the hand-me-down theory, but that cannot possibly be the reason why sagging is so prevalent.

When I first heard that our state Penitentiary is named for the country where they originally brought slaves from that was pretty much the icing on the cake for to disregard a life of crime and the aspects that go along with it including sagging.
