This is no joke my oldest son is missing in the Chattanooga area. He's 17 has bipolar disorder among other issues and we don't know how long it's been since he's taken his meds. His nickname is Boogie

He's more than likely very safe and sound. Try not to worry much, when kids run away, they normally go with friends. When things get rough the first people they get in contact with are their parents.

Many areas have groups like that. If there's one around you like that, post it.
Someone will find him or have seen him.

Agreed. We did so for a client who went missing at work 5 years back. He was lost and disoriented and safely brought back 2 days later after venturing several miles away on foot and unable to communicate to strangers he was lost. Mid-60s.

He was in rehab for self harm due to some things I'm not putting online I'm concerned about him having episodes because he hasn't taken his medication in we don't know how long. The facility didn't call me and his mom until this morning but he's been missing since 7/8 last night. I just hope he's trying make this way home to me

This. I worked with the homeless here in Raleigh for over 20 years. All of them utilize the same hangout spots and soup kitchens. I would find out who's feeding the homeless thanksgiving dinner in your city. Also check your city/county homeless shelter. I'm not sure if they allow juveniles but they can point you in the right direction.

The suggestion about homeless shelters and hangouts close by is VERY true.

You would be surprised how helpful a local Facebook group can help.

Sorry the facility did not inform you and the family sooner that he was gone.
