I think this looks like an attack of the lace wigs.

This is Beyonce and Salonge at the opening of the 40/40 club in Vegas.

B is always supporting her man.

It's a more expensive type of wig that is attached to the head using adhesives. Beyonce, MJB, Tyra Banks, Janet Jackson, Trina, Ciara, etc. wear em. They are very costly.

But I wear em too.

still don't understand why black women mess with weaves...when they can already do whatever they want with their natural hair...?

Well that's not a weave, that's a wig. And you can't do whatever you want to your hair. Because if you do, it generally breaks. Especially if a woman likes to go from straight to curly back to straight or experiment with different hues. It's a time consuming process, it uses alot of heat and chemicals, and eventually your hair can break.

With wigs or weaves, women can acheive a variety of looks without stressing their own hair.

But I understand most men are very simple and that to them, this is going over and beyond. And some women really do take it far.

But c'est la vie.

looks like her little sister had some work done, or maybe she's just a little older. But the fake hair has got to go. I never understood that. Its like a woman feels inadequate if she has short hair. Just be who you are. I'm 6'0"...I dont feel inadequate because I'm not 6'4". If as a woman, a guy came in your bed room, with a fake dick, tied to the end of his real one, you would'nt sleep with him. Thats how I feel about fake hair. Its like you're telling the world , I'm either too lazy to keep my own hair looking good at whatever natural lenght I possess, or I feel like I have to" compete " and in my natural length I need an advantage or at least some help.

I actually cut off all my hair a couple of months ago. So I have a small fro underneath. I just keep it in cornrows.

Hmmmmmmmm. Nothing better than a Black women with a short natural, 'rows and a nice set of dreds. I love the natural look!!!

I definitely see your point. But I doubt you'd feel that way if the shoe was on the other foot.

Although to Beyonce's credit I believe she just finished a show. So she has to look uber glam on stage.

Whats funny is that no one ever criticized Diana Ross, Donna Summer or Tina Turner for their hairpieces because it wasn't acceptable to reveal that back then.

^^^Or it could be that some brothas actually appreciate a sista who rocks her own natural hair and look without the fake enhancements.

I recognize the need for some women to experiment with different looks and all, but sometimes, it borders on the ridiculous.

Those loreal ads featuring Beyonce used to crack me up something awful especially when none of those flowing locks she swings around actually grow out've her head.:smh:
