i'm not one of those kind of dudes that just remembers the last play of the game. i appreciate how the teams arrived at that point.

1-6 with the last 1 being a tie breaker doesn't get any extra credit in my book.

again, you have to remember how they arrived at that point. who happens to make the last shot is just something for teen age girls to talk about.

it makes for memorable moments (like derek fisher v. the spurs and robert horry v. the kings in the playoffs), but the last shot isn't more important than the rest of the game.

for example, if tobe hadn't been ripped twice in Q4 tonight (both which resulted in easy run out scores for the sixers), we don't even have this thread. if tobe was a better ball handler tonight (and not the game high turnover man), fakers wrap this up down the stretch. instead it went down to the final 6 seconds.

andre iguodala made the game winning bucket. you don't see me gushing about him, do you? nope. instead i big upped louis williams, who played well tonight.

true, With the celtics not being healthy, spurs not being healthy, cavs probably finishing with home court through out (unless LA can tie them), I say any of the top 4 (meaning SA, LA Clev and Bost), ca win it. Orlando is still a player a way from being being in this class.

kobe to me is not a shut down defender like espn and all these media outlets have basically said he is..dont get me wrong, he has got better, but when it was a final shot against the bulls, jordan was quick to put his hand up and want that opponent. and alot of people get hot bout this but thats why he will not be better than jordan.

FYI, the cavaliers were 19-11 (.633) against the WORSTern conference that season. the cavaliers were 31-21 (.596) against the eastern conference.

last i checked, .633 > .596

also, in order to get to the nba finals that season, the cavaliers had to defeat the new jersey nets and the detroit pistons. for those not paying attention, those 2 teams represented the eastern conference in the nba finals 4 of the 5 prior seasons.

the spurs? defeated the nuggets, suns and the jazz. none of which have been in the nba finals this decade.
