HPV Bomb: HPV Does NOT Cause Cancer, HPV Vaccine Does

Shane, your title is only partially true. There is an association between the virus and cervical cancer. Most sexually active women are carrying one of the strains. The virus causes the cells to look funny on the pap smear (dysplasia). Dysplastic cells can turn into cancerous cells, just like what happens in the prostate and the breast. Most women's cervices go back to normal as the body fights the infection off. The vaccine is made from parts of the virus that can't cause the cell change on their own. But if a woman has a poor immune system or has been infected with the virus for a long time, there's no need for the vaccine.

It's only approved for younger women because it hasn't been shown to be effective in older women. Luckily most parents aren't having their daughters vaccinated with this.

Ok. So once again. It amazes me, that we as men spend so much time and effort to simply stick our stick, in one of the most acidic places on earth.

Do you know of any information that addresses men's concerns.

Yall are the ones spreading it :hmm: (but it doesn't do anything to you)

It doesnt seem amazing to me.

:hmm:

Then why are there no reliable tests to help men deal with it.

Is a joke observation.
Because we don't prevent in men if there is no disease in men. There are so may strains too. Only 2 have been linked to cancer, and only 2 more linked to warts. The rest, we don't even know what they do if anything.

Rubbers help prevent the spread, but how many people use rubbers all the time? And then what about the virgin wife whose husband slept with however many women before marriage and she doesn't use rubbers with her husband? Not much she could have done to prevent it (except get the vaccine before she was old enough to think about sex).

When I made a thread about this before I thought the idea was that "Gardisil" was the best thing ever for young girls.

Abstinence is the best thing for girls, but eventually they're gonna lose it. I think the vaccine is great, but it's so iffy. And there are other factors that influence who should really get the vaccine, like family history of any type of cancer, sickle cell, HIV. All of this is important because there are women carrying the bad starins their whole life who never get cervical cancer. For now, I still recommend it.
