I remember right after 9/11 they had so many people donating blood, that they were eventually throwing away the excess. For whatever reason, they didn't tell people to stop donating.
fair point, except they were telling people to donate so that they could have houses built. So the assumption was the Red Cross either directly or indirectly knew how to get this done.

I've been saying it since i been on bgol to never give your money,time or items to any of those orgs because it's a scam.How do I know?As a teen I worked for GoodWill and the store I worked at netted in 35 thousand a month or better on people's donated items and some will say well they give back with that money by hiring unfortunate people which they do and a percentage of them are blind or black(one or two) but the pay is so low that most can't stay around and they get major tax breaks.

Red Cross been a scam.. ask Yourself how is a charity telling people they have a certain amount they must start off with when donating money.. that at least $10 shit should’ve been put up red flags.. how you begging for money but telling me it must start with a certain amount.. than with this weird symbolic world we live in “red” “cross” seemed a lil satanic to me

Red Cross is total bullshit. Remember when they got called out, and they responded with: We don't collect money for the current disaster. We collect money for what might happen in the future.? Quite honestly, I can't believe people still donate to them.
Like someone else on this board said, I donate to causes whose work & results I can see. I donate to the Make A Wish foundation, because one of my grandsons was being treated for leukemia, and I saw first hand the things they do for those kids.

of course I do. But to say they only built 6 houses, when they shouldn't have built ANY houses, is not the true problem.

And trust the red cross partners with many other organizations to get things built and developed.
So you saying they don't build houses isn't exactly accurate.
They are involved in getting folk out of settlements and camps, raising funds for housing developments, repairs, rentals.

My brother, the mission of the Red Cross is not to build homes/houses/permanent settlements. How they spend their money should be investigated and audited. non profits and NGOs are some of the biggest gold bricking organizations.
Like I said their job is not - but they do and have been involved in that aspect.
