The key is to come up with content that 1 million people want to see, that’s the hard part.

Doesn't have to be a million people. You can do decent with just 10K subscribers. But making daily or weekly vids is where the bread comes in. One vid a week is 50 vids in a year. 10K times 50 is a lotta views regularly going to your channel for regular content not to mention the new chat features they have with instant donations. Super Chat.

I need to get into the YouTube game. I can sing, write, and I do several different voices/accents. I could read my short stories in my multiple voices

I got a question, if I started singing acapella on YouTube, could I capitalize off of that even if they weren't my songs?

Don't quote me on that but shouldn't be a problem. Lotta vids have people singing existing songs accapella or with a piano or guitar accompaniment.

Cover songs all day.

But to let it be known some vids still get flagged even though others have posted similar vids. YouTube be tripping sometimes.

Bet, I'm about to get it on and Poppin. I ain't got shit but time. I just did 100 Ways, James Ingram and Sail On by the Commodores just now

Do ya thang my dude. The more vids the better so you don't have to rely on just a handful of vids. And be sure to get a decent amount of subscribers. Social media promotion is your friend.

It's a game where if you're just getting hip to it,you will get lost in the sauce and just be another motherfucker making video's.....the people making a living off of it are going to be ok if they have something to talk about,a targeted audience but the one's who are doing it like a reality show, after a few years they get burnt out, tired, sick of the negative comments and slack up....

Everyone is trying to come up,they will take your video edit it and try to make money off of your shit or subject matter.....now you have internet beef

Boom

Now that is a real topic of discussion

How the hell is that ok

Cause there are thousands of those

Joe rogan akademiks joe budden and hundreds of others get this done all the time....

Its wild.

But i notice Vlad does not...

Hmmmmmm

Yeah, shit aint that easy tho. I looked up comedian Kountry Wayne, who is mad popular. His shit aint hitting like that and dude has been out for awhile.

Another example- the brilliant idiots are hovering around 10K and Charlamagne is a celebrity.

Do ppl routinely hit 1M? My guess is no.

Agreed - it's always an eye-opener when you see people cut/edit portions of interview segments from noted podcasts and post those online. Those clips (which come off as your own content, but aren't) sometimes generate 50 - 300,000+ views per clip. I've heard some podcasters in the MMA realm talk about this on their shows. Matt Serra on UFC Unfiltered ... Richard Hunter & Frank Mir on Phone Booth Fighting ... basically just saying can you at least credit the source? At least redirect people back to our show, or give us a shoutout?

Must be really discouraging for them as their OWN shows don't generate those types of Youtube views. Though, I'm not sure how well they're doing in audio format on ITunes, Stitcher, Soundcloud, etc. Those platforms don't kick back ad revenue.

Depends on your content...you got online chefs clocking million views, you got them electronic reviewers clocking million reviews, you got some of them channels like react, try, looper, honest trailers, etc that have interesting content thats usually interesting/popular etc... Than you got other people that have cult following who prob get at least a quarter million views or more per vid..some of them release multiple videos a week... So I'm pretty sure if you release 2-3 vids a week averaging 500-750 thousand weekly views there's a good amount of bread to be made

This why that cac djvlad started splitting his interviews up . Now if you want to see how much someone earned watch his total views

Not everyone is going to get the same amount because some viewers have adblockers.

Also this is an investing game the more videos you make the more money you will get .
The trick is that for example if you made a video about soulja boy years ago and he just got viral your old videos is going to make you money .

That's why that bitch ass vlad keeps re-uping his old videos if someone goes viral.

At one point you will basically make money while you sleep.

Get into the horror story game. It's reading horror stories like Mr Nightmare, Lazy Masquerade, etc. Not much drama and people love that shit.

The one thing you got to keep in mind is that you are basically an employer of youtube. That means if you don't have a website or something that gets you money off of youtube it can fuck u up.

Cause if youtube decides to change shit what they did before or even worse not exist anymore your Biz is gone .

On a related note ... does anyone know how much money companies like Audible, Onnit, MVMT (Movement) watches, and others (like matress companies & food delivery programs) are paying some of the bigger podcasts out there?
Often hear them advertised across many of the big shows that generate hundreds of thousands (to millions) of combined audio & Youtube video listeners weekly.

I've got a few of those as short stories, some of which I've shared here on BGOL. Since I can do voices, I can play all parts. This is going to be fun.

gaming vids are popular as well. alot of people like those video game channels.

Also don't forget tutorials. They are big and nonending source of income on youtube:

  • Take photoshop for instance: little tutorials like creating a christmas card or Mavel character can gain a lot of following on youtube
  • computing: how to use certain programmes etc...
  • subject matter: if you know a subject, lets says math, you can have a series of tutorials by school grade

the possibilities are endless.
