How much are these wrestlers making?

Them dumb fucks better be saving that money! Otherwise they gonna end up like "The Wrestler".

back in the day, for a low budget wrestling match, I was offered $550 plus room and board. It was out in Jacksonville, Florida, on some "Wrestler" Mickey Rourke type shit. That was in 97. It was just a basic match, nothing crazy.

I would guess that WWE and all the mainstream people are making a killing. TV contracts, ticket sales, marketing, etc... Some are probably paid comparable to NFL athletes (no Hayensworth money, but probably a couple mil/yr).

he's broke?

That nigga Flair is broke as fuck. Run through marriages like toilet paper. Nigga was only kept around because he was so broke. He got a rolex from HBK last year after his last match and said he doesn't wanna come back because he doesn't wanna have to give the watch back.

Unlike Hogan, who stayed making money. Hogan was the smartest of them all. Rock ain't too bad neither. Austin for all his money, should be living rich as fuck. NOPE.

Avg wrestler nowadays makes like 200000 with the richest making a couple mil. But they working hard for that mil. And merchandise and shit.

Speaking from some experience:

WWF (I don't call that shit WWE) don't pay rasslers shit. WCW was a good paying company, scrubs would make at least $100K. I can't speak for TNA, but seeing as they make nothing from house shows, and do a PPV a month, they probably don't pay well either.

For the WWF, if you're not moving merchandise, you're not getting a good contract. Back in the day, cats like Stone Cold, Triple H, The Rock were able to get million-dollar contracts because their appearance would mean increased ticket sales, PPV sales, and merchandise sales.

Most of your average cats now (exluding the biggest names) are probably clearing $60-75 a year, working 6 days a week, all for the "opportunity" to make their name bigger. Hotels, transportation and meals for a gig that keeps you on the road 49 weeks a year...

if it was gift why give it back?

I'm lost?

and Austin also financially suffering?

Cept I think TNA pay them niggas not bad considering what they work. They only work like 10 days a month and free to work for other companies.

That's true. They only do those two shows a week. Maybe go make a couple of bucks for a local promotion at a high school or community center.

TNA is in a good position to make a run at WWF, and I can't wait. So long as they don't try to do too much.

Billion dollar companies don’t get rich by paying their employees a lot of $$$. Im sure WWE is cutting back on little shit like room and board or insurance or some other way they gotta take money out of their pockets.
Case in point Brock Lezner and Goldberg

TNA is a weird case cause their show sucks, but their ratings increased and are at their highest. But they have that Russo nigga, who sucks, and a bunch of old heads. They goin down that WCW route.

Austin's ass deserves to be screwed with his divorces. When he married Debra (WWF/E Diva), he smacked her around. Fuck that selfish asshole, Austin!! Truly is a "redneck."

Austin is far from broke or even close to huting money wise.e had a prenup with Debra so his divorce didnt hurt him like Flair's divorce. Austin during his main event years which were about 5 years he peaked at $10 mil per year for the last 2 years. His merchandise sold the most ever in WWF HISTORY.He dresses like he does ad drives a pickup case he loves that shit but he saved his money and probably would be behind only Hogan and Andre as richest wrestlers ever.(Andre the Giant was very wealthy when he died his ranch in Carolina was worth $10 million and he owned villas in France and at one time commanded 10K PER apperance in 70's)

Golddiggers deserve to be treated like that

I know flair was in deep trouble with the irs, and vince loaned hin the money to pay them off.

Except after all that flair was still spending way too much,a nd vince was real pissed at him for that.

And there is no way austin can be broke, i refuse to believe one of my leaders is living c.t.c:lol:

Racist too. According to Ahmed Johnson, after he won the IC title for the first time Austin was seen tagging his car by some fans with "Congratulations ******."

Just something to think about.

Where did you hear this? Is this from an interview he did? Can u find it?

The bigger names cake. It's almost like the NFL in that they give signing bonuses (guaranteed money up front) for non-guaranteed contracts. You fall off in fame, or get hurt, your ass is out w/o getting the rest of your money. McMahon holds these wrestlers by the nuts, because he stretches most of their money over several years, and inserts contract clauses that force wrestlers to appear on call, no matter how old they are, or how many times a year they are requested.

Probably worst of all, McMahon controls most of their likenesses, meaning he cakes off their merchandise and their namesakes. If they leave before their contract expires or fall out with McMahon, they often lose the right to their name and are blackballed from the sport. (SEE the Warrior, formerly known as the Ultimate Warrior).

Once you get famous, its important to use it as a springboard for money making opportunities like movies (the way The Rock did, and now John Cena is doing; or TV appearances like Hulk). That's how you make the real money.

Someone listed all the salaries for Wrestlers in the WWE circa 2006 awhile back.

Your BIG Superstars - Triple H, Undertaker, etc. they're making $1MM - $750K per year plus 1st class travel, meals, and premium hotel.

Your mid-level stars - $500K-350K per year + hotel.

Your role players - $150-200K per year + hotel. No travel or meals.

They get a % of any merchandise sales, but NO ownership since the WWE owns the rights to their "character" and likeness (Rock, when he was doing all his first movies while under contract with the WWE had to get persmission and pay points to the WWE).

I mean it's not terrible money for only 10 minutes of work per night, but these dudes work like 4 shows a week and are on the road 50 weeks out the year. It can get a bit wearing after awhile which is why they say you TRULY have to love it and the business.

Seriously. Austin had a cool character for awhile, but you know that he'll beat someone's ass even if he loses a match, which defeats the purpose of the win. Shit, The Rock got his ass beat on a regular because he didn't whine and bitch about losing. He was getting paid either way. He was/is a redneck crybaby! Plus, he needed to retire LONG before he did since he was wearing legbraces forever, which made him even SLOWER in the ring. To hell with Austin!

I heard that about Austin before. Could be true... I remember on Punk'd he had the manager pissing himself for mistreating the black waiter. Of course that could all have been staged but i doubt it.

Rock, and to a lesser extent Hogan, was the only nigga to truly crossover.

The Warrior ran the end around on Vince though, nigga changed his last name to Warrior.

If someone like ron simmons said it then i would believe it, but coming from ahmed i'm not sure.

Ahmed always seemed kinda out of it and he talked like he had a mouthful of jawbreakers.
