How Many Minutes Do You Run On The Treadmill At Your Gym?

I usually do 20 minutes. They say that's all you need but I see people doing 30 minutes. But running is the shit. It gives you a better cardio. I use to work out at the Boston Sport's Club, then Equinox, a little at Sport's Club LA, and now Gym It.

It's too high impact for me, so I only do it twice a week. I do interval sprints for 13 minutes...1 minute jogging then 30 seconds at about 80% of my max. On the other days I just bike and swim when I can.
 
Damn a lot of you niggas do what a lot of niggas do from what I see; they just work on the weights. Some cats don't like to run for some reason. They just like pushing weights. You will gas out quick when you need that breadth. You can't rely on power only. Cardio is just as important as your strength.

He'll when I was on my cardio shit heavy, I'd do at least a good hour or more about four days a week. I need to get back on it.

I lift 6 days a week yea I know that's over training but CT fletcher from YouTube told me over training is good..

For cardio play hoops 3 times a week.. Best cardio ever

You can work on cardio and endurance with weights.

But you can't build muscle with running.

Anyway, running long distance, I can respect it, but it's not for me.

I'll jump rope and do HIIT sprints.
 
He's talking about having endurance and stamina. Being fit is more than just lifting, it's cardio and diet as well.



You don't have to jump on a treadmill to get your cardio in. Not everyone that is into bodybuilding does cardio. Cardio in bodybuilding is mainly used to burn fat and carbs.

Lifting weights is used for more than one purpose not fust being fit. You don't have to lift weights to be fit.
 
Elliptical. 3 miles in 30 minutes. 5-7 days a week when not busy at work or with fam or church. lately only Sat and Sunday since working on this new project at work, but i can feel the negative effects of not getting my cardio in. clothes not fitting (i'm already a big over weight dude), sleeping patterns suck, sluggish at times, memory ain't for shit.

2 miles 20 mins set on (6.0).......I also run at the park down the street to switch it up. The treadmill gets boring after awhile and doesn't give you the same intensity as running outside in my opinion.
 
I swear I don't see how people run or walk or do anything in place. That shit gets on my last fuckin nerve!!! :pain: I got two pair of football cleats and I just sprint in the grass or I'll sprint with my son's football team I coach. Could never get with anything stationary. Have to move my entire body.

I don't run because of the 'impact' force, and the resulting negative such impact has on one's joints. Plus, my personal physician strongly supports this approach. Age is also a factor. As such, I walk.

I usually set the incline 5/6 and speed at 4/5., for 25-35 minutes, 4-times weekly. After which, I do 4-sets of 25 weight (110) lbs)pushes of stomach crunches. That's a wrap.
 
running bores me i would rather spin but when i do hit the treadmill i usually do it for 30-45 minutes depending on my mood. when i was heavy into my weight loss it was 45 minutes daily

None right now. Too busy bulking.

When I'm ready to get ripped, I'll continue lifting heavy on a paleo diet and do jump rope for cardio.

Not neccessarily cats on this site but I think some dudes just don't like running. Weights and other machines like ellipticals are easier. Like one poster said that running can have an effect on the joints. Cool, but I don't over do it either. Run at 7.0 or 7.5 for 20 minutes two or three days.

I am against running for myself. Most my life I was in sports that involved lots of running. Many years in the military I overdosed on running.
