Many people have described the shooter as crazy and that her plight should be discounted because of her mental health issues. I decided to do a little digging around into how Youtube treats or scams content creators

1. Google/Microsoft are a major Military Contractor:

It is no different than Boeing or Lockheed Martin which sells missile systems or fighter jets. Here Google or Microsoft sells IT products to the governement which many people do not associate as being 'military' contractor. These are highly customized IT solutions, not just their commercial products (Chromebooks or Google Pixel) worth billions of dollars.

2. The best propaganda is one in which you think the person is expressing their views freely, that are not under some government or corporate command structure. Traditional media outlets have lost their ability to influence because of being exposed towing the line for war or talking about fake news in a coordinated manner.

People believe that content creators on Youtube are independent, when in reality they are highly controlled through various means. Google controls the money, how your video is exposed to other people when it is linked to relevant content, the tabulation of data such as views. Google can artificially increase your views which will generate payment causing more content creators to overwhelm their servers with similar content to cash in on the false interest. It can recommend these videos to you by creating a weak link to something that you looked up in the past.

Google can demonetize or age restrict your video based on some mythical bot. It can report that your views are only 10 people when in the past you have millions of views. This is to discourage you from producing content due to this false lack of interest when you believe nobody is watching your content.

3. As a major military contractor, they will tow the line of the government. Due to a deteriorating relationship with Russia and entering into a military conflict with different objectives. They begin to label their videos in an attempt to discredit their content to viewers; coinciding with President Trump pronouncement requiring RT to register as a foreign agent.

3. Google is a company that has the facade of security. You think the Facebook scandal is bad, Google laxed security and tacit approval to enable the bulk collection of email by the government for billions of people for many years.

They were transporting email between their datacenters unencrypted since the beginning allowing the government to bulk collect everything. Edward Snowden comes out and they finally do something in 2014. You had a HTTPS padlock but your shit was sent unencrypted between their data centers.

HTTPS was only used for the login and not even the email, allowing your ISP, NSA, or employer to see the content of your emails, claiming it would slow down the system. It is no surprise seeing them demonetize videos made by Iranians under command from the government.

4. All of these factors led to Youtube censoring content on behalf of the government. By blocking her content on Youtube which shows her singing to Hall & Oats or Taylor Swift, it is the start of the process to dehumanize Iranians to the American public. An administration openly hostile to Iran and seeking war to prevent their development of a nuclear weapon, rather than inspections.

After President Trump secured the Republican nomination, Google began to cater their content to his positions, to seek future favor from his administration.

Google grosses about $100 billion dollars a year in revenue. It compensate content creators based on their views and showing ads before their video is played. However, these content creators are doing much more for Google. If a person sees a video they like and want to subscribe to see additional content, they have to login to Google which opens them up to using their email and search services.

There is also another phenomenon that is also going on behind the scenes which is the unique branding and design of their product. We as consumers seek to unify our experience. If we are looking at Youtube 10 hours a day, than switching to Bing with its different design element would cause discomfort. We would seek to use Google search, get an Android Phone, and use Google Maps. This is why many users over time will abandon Microsoft Edge and use Google Chrome. These content creators intensify this effect for Google increasing web searches which generate significant revenue. Microsoft Edge defaults to Bing searches and is a hassle to change to Google.

Content creators increase the data usage of their phone which drive additional revenue for wireless phone companies when they buy an unlimited plan. Google is also selling additional services such as Youtube Red or Youtube TV.

Google is applying a TV model where you watch ads; however, this is much different for the internet. You are not using NBC web search, buying an NBC phone, using NBC email services, buying additional data, or buying an NBC chromebook. Even the content creators that have videos not acceptable for ads create views which will lead a person to click on content that displays an ad.

Google could set aside much more money to compensate these content creators besides using ads. It needs to quit using bullshit reasons to cheat these people out of the money they rightfully deserve. They need to get out of the business of censoring content by demonetizing videos.

Let say you take your girlfriend to see Black Panther. The movie theater is unable to charge because the advertisers object to the African theme of the movie. However, they show the movie for free but receive revenue from concessions $20 and a Black Panther mask for your girlfriend for $10. After being in the theater, you see another movie that you like which the advertisers will pay money.

You go to the theater and ask to get paid for the content, however, they claim the advertisers objected to the African theme of the movie. You show them that they made $30 in revenue from customers watching the movie (popcorn and mask). There are also customers that want to see movies that advertisers will support.

In effect Google can use the third party decision of the advertisers to censor your content to discourage you from making African themed movies.
