You don't have enough money to go on vacation if it comes down to that so you have to wait. Start an interest bearing vacation fund and both of you dump your spare cash into it.

I still think is a good thread however I dont really have an answer, me and my future (wife) went to dinner one day and when we got to the front to pay we BOTH simultaneously pulled out our wallets and proceeded to hand our money at the cashier. When we realized what happened (cuz our heads was down to get said wallet) we both laughed and THATS how you know your with the right person...

We not married but we pay as close to 50/50 as possible. She has taken me on a couple of trips, all expenses paid, but I've been doing a little more here lately because more has been coming in.
But in 2012/2013 I don't believe any man should front the bill 100%. Especially if she is working just like you.
