how do you deal with...

how do you deal with someone who has breast cancer?

friend not family member

You be the ear they need should it be necessary. You be that shoulder they cry on if they need to shed a few. Be patient and know that there will probably be times when they act like they don't need you. Give her space let her set the pace. However, be her reality check once in a while.

I hope your friend is strong enough to fight this.

peace

Be supportive. That shit's scary, and for women who, as some are, are really about their beauty, if they lose hair in treatment, or a breast. :(

^^^^^ It could not have been said any better. . .

Basically, be there for your friend. Be supportive without being "too cheerful". Yes, many women survive, but it is still Hell to go through. Realize at times you may be put through an emotional rollercoaster, particularly when she has chemotherapy and possibly surgery.

Be a rock. Strong enough to take the waves of emotion, and strong enough to be her anchor when needed.
