Running a not-for-profit organization. It's a community center that is 100% free.
We have GED Prep course, ESL course, Computer course and Conflict Resolution
course. We also have social services for at risk families. Unfortunately, we don't
have enough room for much else. Would like to expand but that's gonna take help.

All of our services are 100% free of charge.

We receive gov't grants, but it's not nearly enough to cover the costs of paying
instructors, operating costs, etc. These grants don't come automatically either.
Black politicians talk a good game, but very few actually come through with
the support we need to keep our doors open. We have plenty of support in the
community though. Folks would rather just give donations rather than donate
time though. We need both.

We also get corporate sponsorship. But it's never enough to sustain more than
6 months at a time. And it's always in the form of free gifts for our students.
They sponsor a trip to Great Adventure or the NBA hall of fame, but won't come
through with a check for everyday supplies. We were able to get some computers
though (4 MACs)

Just recently created a MYSPACE page for the organization. Our friends list growing everyday and we get lots of positive feedback from people online who want to know how they can help out.

Would like to put a link on the page for donations. How do I go about doing this??

I'm thinking a PAYPAL link. But my account is in my name, not the company.
But how do I add a link??

Thanks in advance for any help

oh, and of course any donations to our organization are tax-deductible

Open up a PayPal business account in the name of your 501(c)3. Link the account to a checking account in the businesses name. Don't use its normal account. Use an account thats strictly for this purpose. When money comes in, transfer it to the normal business account.

Log into the PayPal web site and look at the top of the screen for merchant services. It will take you to a page that will allow you to create a button for your web site. Use the "Donate" button. Fill in the information requested. This will generate the proper html code that your web master can then put into your site.

Finally, look into getting another web master. If he or she knew what she was doing, they should have been able to tell you all of this.

Good luck with the business.

Thanks. Don't have a webmaster though. Just a myspace account.
And my proficiencies lie in another venue, lol
