Thanks for the advice yall went to the store checked out the quality and the fit and came home and copped three for $775

I figure it will be about $100 more to get them altered....hopefully:D

BGOL comes thru again

I just started getting my suits custom made from these guys and they are under $400 each. I am very happy with them. Top notch quality and they will print your name on the inside too.

Thanks is this just for ATL?

^^^^

Yes, but if you're ever in the area, just go there and measure and order it. They will mail it to you anywhere. It is an unbelievable deal. I have ordered 3 from them and the quality and cut is top notch.

yeah i went to the site and bookmarked it thanks jag

 A cheap suit will look cheap on you no matter want you pay.

Jos A Bank is trying to get you in there so they can sell you the $75 dress shirts with the suits.

The tailor as just as important as the suit.Get a good suit to start with then look on Yelp.com for the highest rated tailor. You tailor should bring it in on your body, adjust your sleeves, and hem your pants.Trust, you will stand out when your suit fits because, most cats out there just take it to the inhouse tailor and get their pants hemmed. One of the things I disagree with on some of the earlier advice is that the suit doesnt matter as much as the tailor.Thats bullshit.A cheap suit will wrinkle, feel uncomfortable as fuck, and you'll end up looking like a Memphis pimp(no offense to my Memphis brothers).Look to hit up discount department stores like Filenes Basement and get you a nice suit for around 300-400 bucks. The tailoring will cost you around $130.Trust...once you cop that mfer you will get hooked.I feel like Obama when I walk into a spot with the suit on.Its hard to explain, but your whole mindframe changes when your suit game is on point. Can't nobody tell me shit.Another thing I will suggest is to subscribe to GQ magazine or even google sites for accessory ideas.Aint nuthin worse than seein a brutha with a brown suit, with matching brown shirt and matching brown tie. :hmm:

Never been a suit type of guy mainly because they make me feel uncomfortable and tight like a rusty robot, but there are some interesting responses here to think about in the future....

Just out of curiousity, what's your idea of a "cheap suit"?

I think we're all dealing from a certain bottom line here. Nobody is saying go to Walmart to get a suit.

You have pretty good taste so I'l try em out next time im in the ATL.

I saw my former boss, who is a millionaire, last week. And even he asked me for the place where I got it from:lol:

Ask for Stephanie, she is the most pleasant one. The other guys try to upsell you into useless shit.

There are dozens of differences between suit qualities, but the #1 thing is how comfortable it feels.Try it on.A great suit feels as comfortable as a velour sweatsuit.A cheap one feels hot tight and heavy.Growing up,I HATED wearing a suit.I felt like it was uncomfortable as fuck. Then as I got older and got good suits,I like wearin em.Jos Bank has decent suits but personally,I'd spend that same money on one GOOD suit than 3 "ok" suits.Hit up Filenes basement,Nordstrom Rack,or Loemanns and try on their best suits then compare em to Jos Banks.
Good advice for the brother. I will raise you one, what about the big and tall brethren. I am tall.

Truth be told you can find decent suits for that amount at other places. The only time i would buy a suit from there if it was on sale BOGO

Wool is a good solid all around material. And honestly, most folks (the average individual who isn't a clotheshorse) wont notice the difference between your suit, and say a Ralph Lauren purple label..... but this is BGOL, so look for the dude who wears nothing but Versace and Zegna to say otherwise.

and one very important thing, dry clean your suit as infrequently as possible, once-twice a year. That will extend the life of your suit, and prevent it from "bubbling" as there's a good chance the jacket will be fused.

http://artofmanliness.com/2010/02/1...-suit-school-part-i-fused-vs-canvassed-suits/

and like buddy said, make sure you try it on as different suits fit different based on the designer. and make sure you have a good tailor on hand to square you away after u buy it.
This is THE difference between a good suit and a cheap suit.

"Easy. You walk up to one and say "From a Cheap One."

I just really didn't believe you typed that and can't believe I even quoted it.:(

Just go ahead and have a suit custom tailored for you. That way you can pick the fabric, lining, heel padding, lapels etc. There are a number of places that can custom tailor a suit to your exact body proportions for under 1,000. It's definitely worth it. There is a place here in Atlanta that will tailor a suit for you for under 400 dollars. Fit exactly to you. There is nothing in the world... NOTHING like a custom tailored suit.
...aaaaaand where might this be?

If you look confident in a cheap suit nobody can tell the difference...
:eek::lol::smh::hmm:

ballpark ... how much do custom tailored suits cost??
I usually just say a stack when it's all said and done, but $800 should do it.

Will do.

Can you iron a suit?

If you want to attract the right type of attention, the short answer is "no".
