How BGOL Looked in 1996

Yo remember back then they used to warn about the thread not being 56K friendly.....

And the only competition that BGOL had was Onprobations message board....

lol...damn the good ole days.....

Side Note: you can tell who is an original BGOL member or atleast an older member....by the join date being in some time mid December 2004......

because that was when there was a major overhaul change and basically every member had to reregister.......

A little history for the younger board members.....peace

think this was early 98 for me edo ram came in pairs and while most had 32megs and that was rocking hell 128 was top of the line but all my systems were built and that was my first and i had
2x cd rom
2x cd burner
cyrex 333 processor
256megs edo ram
56k internal modem
and no clue as to what i was doing online spending hours on "seemehearme" lol damn what a shame

My fault home homboy.Like i said i was thinking about when i got my first pc (1999).I got down with KAZAA in 2000.I went to walmart in 02 and got a new HP fo $600.00.Then my boy put down with comcast high speed in 03.I have't gotten off line since.I BROUGHT THE HP dvd buner from them for $250.00.

my comcast bill (just for the net)

03-08

$40.00 a month x 12 = 480.00

6 years = $2,880.00

2 years for comcast business account with 5 static IPs.

$90.00 a month x 12 = $1,080

2years = $2,160

total = $5,040

Yea with those discs BGOL really had tranny attacks. Them faggots would change their ip address and spam the board more.

Did it only come on one floppy?

Shit I remember for awhile those AOL CD's were collectors items. Especially the special edition ones that came in the tins.

I guarantee you those will go for good money 10-20years down the line.

I'd bet you 10 bucks they won't be. Those discs flooded the market and won't hold value. Folks were throwing them in the trash. If anything the 1st original disc might be worth something.
