 But if that roach infested bbq shack owner opens up a brand new spot you're gonna give it a chance? :smh: Not me.

If it's not too bad I'd probablly give it a shot. Check this out, we got soul food joint everyone likes to eat at. The owner went out of business and really didn't tell anyone. I goes there, the place still has the same name. I'm thinking it's the same food. MFs hadn't even changed the menu. I order the usual. The shit tastes totally different. Ribs all fucked up. Redbeans and rice dry like beef jerky. I'm like WTF? They see I didn't like tha shit and they finally say they are new owners and the haven't changed the name yet. I'm like how ya gonna open a new place using the other guys name and shit when it's not the same shit. MFs had nerve to ask if i was coming back. I'm like helllllll noooo. Had nerve to ask for a tip.LOl!!!!

 man that aint right id be mad as fuck

I can't relate to this show, it's not funny so I just moved on. You guy always seem to get down on his work like it's a personal attack against you and your BLACKNESS. What if the characters in his plays and TV show represent people from his upbringing. I'm not defending the man I'm just saying who am I or who are you to say this is COONIN. :hmm:

He's playing to his audience. That is all. I personally hate that mess and haven't been satisfied by ethnic tv since the Martin/Living Single/New York Undercover era.

My relatives in VA love that show because it most likely reminds them of themselves. Overweight, bible thumping, buffet eating, simple folk. They are content with that life.

It's called black reality. It's the realest portrayal of black folks on TV in a long time. In fact u don't have to be a black American or even a black person living down south to be able to relate to the underlining themes that Tyler Perry tries bring across in his messages.

Most of what he portrays from movies to plays or even sitcom, is based black reality that most black people I know can relate to. So I dunno WTF u blabbering about.

Almost every other black person I know has had a bible thumping parent, relative or guardian etc etc who believes in whooping their kids ass when they get outta line among other things. The different characters he portrays in all his work, they all can remind u of someone from u'r family.

Unfortunately not all black people like u live like Carlton Banks from the "fresh prince of bel air" who has their own butler and their view of the world is one dimensional.

Tyler Perrys work kinda reminds me a lot of Jamaican folk plays back in da day. Of course their is no patios lol in tyler's shit

Once again, you sprinkle your own faggety brand of self hate on your post like Hot Sauce.

There is no, Black reality in the sense you speak of it, BLACK is not defined through supposed, " PORTRAYING BLACK ". There is no way of, " PORTRAYING Black ".

There is a culture of the African American, of the African diaspora, and their are nuances of that culture not shared by others.

But one can not PORTRAY . . . what it is to be black, because it is an experience that is subjective.

When you are black, you are such, it is TRUTH, where ever you were raised, what ever your education level, socio-economic status, etc. You are BLACK. Period.

Of course you believe in PORTRAYALS . . . . . . because with your anonymity HERE you have attempted to, albeit, poorly, you've attempted . . .

To PORTRAY yourself as intelligent . . . .

PORTRAY yourself as some light bringer/eye opener/person who says the truths others are unwilling to face . . .

PORTRAY yourself as anything less than a libelous, scrotum guzzling self hating Bush lover, who's parents sent you to Uncle Tom up there with the canucks because your Chi Chi man ass couldn't HACK it, survive without getting your smart mouthed ass kicked, anywhere else.

yall need to stop puttin down black shows!...how about there's no black shit on tv...i watch 'house of payne' and fuckin 'lincoln heights'....i cant even name another black tv program....is this still BGOL...or the fuckin jews or feds took this shit over???????????????????????:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

You're a dumbfuck. You watch the show b/c its a black show?
I bet the show could be about a family of pimps and drug dealers and you'd watch it b/c it was a black show.

LOL Hmmm no such thing as a black reality huh....my left nut there isn't.

Any real person knows that irrespective of color if u put a child in a black home where the parents are emotionally rich or mentally stable and strict as oppose to a white counter part, that kid is gonna come out different.

Here are some examples of black reality in pertaining to the topic @ hand

-Black folks discipline their lil kids by whipping them, where as white folks give their kids timeout. I have seen white kids use vulgarity & cuss out their parents in public. Now tell me what would happen if a black kid ever did that to his parents in public. Hence......"Black Reality"

-I have grown white friends even to this day who talk back to their parents. As a black person no matter how old u are u know u can't give "lip" or speak back to u'r parents as if u'r talking to u'r friends on the corner. Hence......."Black Reality"

I could go on & on

U don't like labels attached to people, then fine motherfucker. Even with all the subjectivity, in N.America irrespective of color when u grow up around black people, who u are which comprises of u'r core values & experiences for the most part is gonna be vastly different as oppose to that same individual who grew up surrounded by white folks.

I'm not gonna get into the microcosim of this issue. U can rationalize shit all u want. But for the most part there is a distinction bewteen black reality & white reality. Drive to any hood and then drive to any affluent neighbourhood & tell me there is no distinction. If there was no distinction then everyone would be the same level & all things in society among races would be equal.

Sorry. It's not reality. My dad doesn't dance every time he speaks. My dad wouldn't make jokes about his grand nephew's mom being on drugs every chance he gets. My dad wouldn't try to get his grand nephew sent to jail for 2 years for a first time offense of joy riding his motorcycle. My dad wouldn't be against his nephew(who is a good citizen) living with him if his house got burned down. My dad isn't selfish towards his family members. If you can relate with that, your family needs therapy.

I have never once told my father I loved him, & probably never will(vice versa)..........now does that mean that I don't love the man to death(vice versa)????? Certain things are always understood despite how it might appear on the surface.

Not everybody had that white bread "leave it to beaver" type of upbringing. Families argue all the time, it doesn't mean they don't love one another.

Assuming when u got whipped as kid as if u were a runaway slave, I'm sure u hated it at the time, but now that u'r older u realize that it was done out of love right? Lookin back I'm sure u realize that it was the type of discipline u needed to set u str8 right????. Well as demonstrated in that show when the father called the cop on his kid to teach his son a life lesson....it ain't hate or dysfunction, it's called tough love.

You've never seen a black child talk back their parents, or to an adult?? It happens. Go volunteer at a Elementary, Jr. Or High school with some of your time. It will open your eyes.

If black parents were whipping there kids so much, why are their kids breaking into homes, fighting, and then shooting and murdering one another at a phenomenal rate??

You don't know anything about a corner so don't mention it.

I've seen white Americans whop the shit out of their children in public. I've seen them take shit from their child I wouldn't, no adult should.

I've seen African Americans give a look and their children stop. I've seen African American children throw tantrums and toss magazines in the grocery store.

Ignorance and bad parenting knows no color lines.

Another episode of idiocy & self hate starring yours truly . . . the Professor.

I'm not real thrilled with the show but if I'm not mistaken, Tyler Perry has a guaranteed 100 episode contract. But the show won't stand a chance when that 100 is reached. I was wondering why they showing like 4 episodes in one night?! They rushing that bad boy outta there!

Good observation.

That episode where Allen Paynes wife came back from rehab was fucking funny though, especially that part where he closed down the kitchen and started taking orders from the bar & and instigating fights n shit.....had me dying.

I think the only connection betwwen Tyler Perry and the show is his name attachment ,his real writers are not working on that program he just trying to get an extra penny on some bullshit comedy that he himself know it will not last so on that note he kinda sold his soul for the almighty dollar.
