Saw it on a Thursday preview. Nothing special about the story or the execution, or the action. The stellar cast is about the only thing that’s worth the 90 minutes. Sterling K. Brown has really got some leading man chops. Not much to work with but he definitely tilts the room when he enters.
Sofia Boutella was the other standout. Won’t say too much but there were a couple of scenes where she got to really display her physicality and she is beyond credible. She could legit be an action star.
It was a really short movie, which isn’t normally a bad thing considering how bloated most movies are these days but it felt really under-developed for such a great premise. I’m sure the $15 million budget played into that.
